About mylinhthan

[x][edit] - Since being on Advicenators there have been a lot of repetitive questions and innane ones at that. Because of this, I will not be answering as many questions as I had before. To put it simply, some people need to think for themselves. To learn things in life we have to fall down from our hardships, learn from them, and get to our feet again. People aren't just going to spoonfeed you on how to live your life.

To conclude, I'm a level-minded columnist who's not likely to judge. Although I may not understand some situations due to lack of experience, I am an understanding person and will do all I can to help. To people who are "not the brightest crayon in the box", I may appear blunt and brutally honest. Stupid questions deserve stupid answers.

And yes, stupid questions DO exist.

a lot of people keep coming up to me and asking me if i'm anorexic. i'm starting to thing i am now. people always tell me how skinny i am, but i think i'm fat. and i'm obsessive over what i eat, and i always weigh myself.

it's my stomach i don't like. when i stand up and squeeze my stomach there's like 2 inches of fat! is that normal?! =(.. i feel so fat. i want to try to have NO fat there. does anyone know any good exercises to get rid of that fat?

so i have 3 questions:
-do you think i might be anorexic?
-is all that fat normal? you can compare me to a normalish stomach or whatever, i don't care.
-what are some good exercises to get rid of that fat?

1. You're only anorexic if you continuously starve yourself depriving yourself of the nutrients your body needs. If you are eating very little (and I mean VERY little) everyday, then yes, you are anorexic.

If this applies, you need to eat to burn fat. When you starve yourself, it slows down your metabolism making it easier to gain weight. So gradually increase your intake of calories and exercise to get that metabolism back on track.

2. Yes that fat is normal. I weigh approximately 115 lbs and I pinch my tummy and I get the same amount of fat. It's completely normal, especially for us women to have a layer of fat in our abdominal area. That's why you don't see a lot of women out there with six packs.

3. To rid that fat you have to combine cardio with toning exercises. Cardio is any exercise to get your heart rate up like running, jogging, jumping jacks, tai bo, etc. After you do cardio, your heart is still at a good pace and your body continues to burn calories in cardio mode even after you stop. If you combine toning and weight training exercises immediately after your cardio, you will lose the fat. Do circut training like 15 mins of cardio, 15 mins of toning, then back to cardio, then back to toning.

It works, trust me. I've been doing it for about two months now and I definitely noticed a difference. I only go to the gym two days a week due to my busy schedule, eat regularly, and work out for two hour sessions mixing up cardio and weights. Already I've lost 6 pounds and my tummy is definitely gaining tone. Also for another metabolism boost, drink green tea. It tastes good too (with sugar or splenda)!

Good luck and hope this helps you!
