Ok I have been suicidal for a while, and haven't had an episode for about a month... I have scars on my stomach and arms.. but I can't stop thinking I need more cuts... I have had alot of stuff going on lately... what should I do, should I tell someone! I just don't wanna go to a mental hospital! thanks I'll rate high (link)
You've gotta realize this first. Cutting, though it may seem to help, won't. It will end up hurting you more in the end. It's a temporary release for your pain, so you need to find a healthier release. Maybe when you're stressed you could go out for a walk, or do a yoga video. Both are healthy ways to deal with pain, and exersising releases endorphins which studies have proven to make you happier.

When you get upset and cut, you are releasing before realizing. You need to switch that order. When you are upset, ask yourself what's wrong. Then ask yourself in the long run, what is cutting going to do for that? By the time you realize where your pain is coming from, you won't need the cutting release, because you will know it's not going to help, no matter how good it seems.

Also, find someone to talk to about your pain, because no one deserves to feel this way. Also, keeping a diary about your feelings, while it may seem corny, does help.

Hope I helped!
