ok last valentines day my b/f took me to buy a puppy. i wanted the first one i saw a little pekinese puppy. i was purebred so he paid 900.00 for the dog. i've never had a dog before just cats and i didn't know what i was getting myself into. now i can't stand the dog. i can't train it to go to the bathroom outside, its super hyper, jumps on my son and tries to hump him. i can't imagine how much it would cost to fix him. i want to get rid of the dog but my b/f doesn't. we're constantly fighting about it. any suggestions on what to do? You really should not even have this poor dog. In truth, I feel more sorry for the dog than I do you.
You went out and got an EXPENSIVE little puppy because he was, I guess, so cute and adorable.
If you'd never had a dog or even a cat, why in the world would you want to just go out and get one? Did you do any research? At all? Why did your boyfriend buy you this poor animal if you don't even know how to take care of it and he sure can't help you. All these things you complain about the dog, you can train them to do. Go on google and look up "Puppy house training" Theres plenty of sites that can help you. Another thing, puppies are hyper. ESPECIALLY little crazy dogs like Pekineses are. YOU chose the dog. Its not the dogs fault that the kind of dog he is. PEKINESES ARE VERY ENERGETIC DOGS AND YOU GOT A PUPPY. Its like a kid. Do you really expect a little kid to just walk slowly around the house and sleep all day? No. And when your dog jumps on your son and tries to hump him? Train him not to. Pull him off your son and tell the dog, sternly "No, bad dog" And if it's THAT much trouble, get him neutered. Just do it if it bothers you so much.
I can see why your boyfriend doesn't wanna get rid of the dog! He paid 900$ for it! I can't imagine someone being as selfish and immature about this as you seem to be. This is your fault and your boyfriends. Not the dogs. If you can't handle the dog, put up an ad in the newspaper asking for someone who wants a Pekinese(Hopefully someone who knows how to take care of a dog will take him in) and tell your boyfriend not to buy you anything over 100 dollars cuz it doesn't seem like you can handle it to me.

its too bad that you jump to conclusions like you do. seems to me that your the immature one. i was looking for help not looking to be bashed online. i did indeed do a lot of research on the dog and it isn't my only pet. don't assume you know people cause you apparently don't
