this kid (corey) likes me ALOT. i only like him as a bestfriend, but i love him to death. he asked me to formal. at the same time, this other kid who I like is supposed to ask me. well when Corey asked me online to the formal, i said without thinking "well no because im waiting for someone else to ask me, but if he doesnt i'll go with you" and then i realized thats the WORST thing anyone could possibly say. and hes CRUSHED! i freaked out and apologized. he replied "its okay, i should have known not to ask you, you wouldnt go with me anyway" and now i feel like SHIT! i told my parents and they said im an asshole for saying that. they said if i end up not getting a date, that i SHOULDNT go with him because thats insulting and he deserves better. i feel SO BAD. what can i do/say to make it up to him?

omg i feel so bad for him but you should probably stick like a loveletter in his locker how your really sorry and you would like to go to the dance with him and that you didnt realize what you were saying
