Okay, about two weeks ago, I told one of my really close guy friends that I liked him. I thought I did because I knew he liked me ALOT too.. He would do anything for me, etc, so I thought that I liked him too. So I told him. But now Im seeing that I really dont have those kind of feelings for him at all. I feel horrible because he seems so happy now because he thinks I like him back... I dont know what to do :-/ I really dont want to talk to him about it because its really messed up.. any advice on how to handle it without talking to him? Thanks in advice. (link)

Screwed as hell you are. Salvaging your friendhip is an almost impossible task now. No matter what anyone said, a guy will have real trouble returning to how things were. Now you can handle it in three ways (all of which were mentioned by others- I however will tell you the effect). First you can start acting like you dont like him (effect- he will make some passes at you, which you will reject, he will feel confused, angry and rejected). Second you can let him know by some other means than talking- internet, another friend (effect- you will appear as a gutless and insensitive goat, which will be true, he will be confused, angry and probably hate you). Three, you talk to him directly. This is the hardest but also the only one that has a small chance of success. Let me also add that you owe him that much and if your friednship meant anything at all you wont disrespect him any further.
