Q: Ok im aditioning for a school play and everytime a start to say my lines infront of my teacher i get so nervouse, shaky, and i just freeze and/or forget my lines. Can someone please tell me some ways how to calm myself and someways to remember my lines better? thankyou all very much, i rate good!
I was the same way when I first started acting.
If you want to calm yourself then take deep breaths when you get up there. Remember, your "not yourself"... your somebody else. Put yourself in their place. Make it look like you actually understand the character.
As for remembering your lines.. I used to re-read them and act them out. Another thing that helps is if you keep writing them down. First write them down looking at the script, then start writing them without the script. Recite the lines as you write. Eventually, you'll have it memorized.

Thankyou very much, i shall try it
