Hi I'm Ali. I'm 15 and I'm in 10th grade. *Yay!* I'm origionally from New York but I moved up to Maine. I have a sister who is 13 and a 3 year old brother. At the moment my 17 year old cousin is living with us. He just moved in around april. Long story. I tend to be shy at first but I eventually warm up. I'm always the one my friends turn to for advice or just for someone to talk to. My dad is a phsychiatrist so I wonder if it's in my genes. *lol* I can be very fun, but also serious when I need to be. I tend to make good grades but I have to work for them. So thats me! Not too interesting. Oh well.

okay.. there is this guy who ive known for about two years.. and we have always just been friends.. and yea... so i asked him to ride the bus home with me today so that i wont be all alone and he did.. and when we were on there... he asked me.. "will you giv me a chance? " and i laughed and was like.. no!! because i thought he was joking.. but he wasnt and he got all sad.. and he got off at the next stop.. and it wasnt even his.. but yeah.. i feel bad.. and i dont know what to do.. i mean.. he is really nice and i would HATE to hurt him.. but yea.. what do you think i should do tomorrow when i see him?

First off, you definatly need to apologize and make sure he understands that you thought he was joking. If he wasn't joking would you still say no? Because you should tell him that, just in a nicer tone. Tell him that you love being his friend and you don't feel right making the next step. If you think he could be a potential boyfriend, give him a chance. You never know. After you go out with him you might see him in a diferent light. If it's just not working try and go back to the way it was. Just make sure he know you still like him, just not in that way. Good luck!
