My quote of the week: "We cannot change our past...We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...
I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it!"

A name is just a name. Your mother is your mother. Do you not feel close with her simply because of her last name? You should sit down and talk to your mom and tell her how you feel about everything that is going on. Let her know that your stepbrother really upsets you and that you need some advice on what to do about it since your father isnt helping the situation much. Trust me, I KNOW what its like to have an "evil stepmother". I have one. Can't stand the bitch. Haha! You just have to think, if she makes my father happy then thats all that matters. Just deal with her when you are there and that's all that you can do. As far as your stepbrother goes, talk to your mom about it and then sit down both your father, your stepmother and your stepbrother one night and tell them that you all need to talk. Let them all know that what is going on really hurts your feelings and that something needs to me done about it and you are uncomfortable. If you need anymore advice feel free to ask. Best of luck sweetie. *Melissa*
