Thanks for the advice. I wrote that a while ago and things as usual have changed. I dropped both the engineer and the stockbroker although they still call. My best friend and I are still really close but nothing yet. I have a couple other guys I'm dating (all considerably older than me of course) but they don't really matter. If my best friend calls, I drop everything with them for him. He goes on dates occasionally, but nothing serious, so as pathetic as it may seem, I'm still keeping my hopes up. If I could only get that through his thick head. But he did propose, and I did accept. To the good, we opened a savings account and refuse to owe for the wedding. Thanks.
