"I still believe your best alternative is declawing" - I am looking for an alternative to declawing, so declawing would not be an alternitive. And the cat is 4 yrs. old. After this much time, it would be very tramatic for her to be declawed. Also, most vets recommend not to declaw. It would be like removing your first knuckles.
