i have been cutting for the past three years, up until i met my current boyfriend. he told me that he wouldnt talk to me and wouldnt go out with me if i didnt stop cutting. and i got really mad at him for it, but now i know he was only trying to help and would never hurt me intentionally. anyways, when you want to cut, try and find something else you can do to take your mind off how youre feeling, like watching a show or listening to music. or, do something that makes you happy, like painting. if you cant get rid of the emotions you are feeling at that moment, cal a close and personal friend that you can talk to about how you are feeling, write a song or poem about it, or write in a journal. i know cutting feels like the only thing that works, but its not, and there are many other things that work better. when you overcome this you will be a much stronger person.

you would have to do independent jobs. you could offer to mow lawns, or rake yards, you could house sit for people when they go on vacation (get the mail, the paper, water plants), you could petsit or do dog walking, or you could babysit. you could also make things and sell them, like candles, or baked goods, or set up a lemonade and cookies stand. if you arent looking for a set job you could do some yardsales and sell old stuff you dont need, or you could take some of your old music cd's and dvds that you dont want to certain stores who will buy them from you. good luck.

i think crest whitestrips work the most effective, and i dont believe they are more than $35. if you want very quick results you can get the 7 day treatment, where you wear the strips twice a day for a half hour, but i would recommend the 5 minute a day strip pack. it takes a bit longer to whiten but by the 27th your teeth will be much whiter, and you can continue using them for awhile, as there are about 2 or 3 months worth of strips. good luck!

i met this girl [jen] on wednessday at school. we started talking and i thought that she was pretty cool right away. we went to the mall on friday with some other ppl and it was fun. the problem is that she wants to be BFF's when ive only known her for like 5 days!!! i have other friends that ive known for much longer. i really dont want to be mean to her because i do want to be friends with her. but she said she wanted to write something nice about me so i gave her my myspace info. then she changed my name to "jen and sam true friends forever!!". she wants to have identical profiles but i told her that i thought itd be better to have them different. i dont know what else to do. she put a default pic of me and her and made her name "sam and jen friends forever" and calls me "best friend" in class. i need my personal space! i dont like being invaded and i feel like shes controling me. please help. thanx

let her know how you feel. tell her that you like her a lot and think she is a great friend, but you dont know her that well yet and you havent known each other for that long. tell her you want to become better friends with her, but that its going to take time. you could also mention that you are flattered that she wants you to be her best friend. change your myspace profile back to the way it was before, and if she asks why say that you wanted to update it, and if she changes it again change your password. she has no right to get mad at that. good luck.

i happen to have tried this because my mother is an avon representative and got free samples. yes, they work fairly well, but you have to be really careful putting them on. they do apply fairly easily, but its a little difficult to tear of the extra piece that doesnt cover your nail. however if you dont like painting your nails and waiting for them to dry this is a good alternative.

Okay. Well I signed up for basket ball for this school year. And I'm really not that good. But I want to learn before the basket ball season starts. It's mainly to just get fit and impress my frinds, because all my friends don't think I can even play a sport.
So if some one could just tell me some advice on how to become a better baset ball player. That would be awesome

one of the best things to do is go to a basketball camp, where they will teach you all the main skills you need. if you cant afford a camp right now or dont want to do that, try finding a friend that is very good at basketball who can help you. go someplace where there is a basketball hoop and practice shooting the ball and practice dribbling the ball. those are the two most important skills. get to the pont where you can walk and run while dribbling the ball, and where you dont have to look at the ball while dribbling. try making shots from the free throw line, and from various other places on the court. good luck!

My hair is currently armpit length..but i'm thinking of cutting it chin-length.
It gets oily really fast..like i'll wash it in the morning, and by the end of the day, my bangs and roots are gross.
I know it gets oily from my scalp because it's producing a lot of oils
So i'm wondering, is it logical to think that because my hair is kind of long, it is getting weighed down and being pressed on to my scalp more, causing it to get oily faster?
And that if I cut it short..will it be lighter and my hair won't get oily so fast ?
Also, any other tips for my nasty hair are welcome [= (link)

im not sure if your hair being longer is making it more likely to get oily faster, however, with a shorter hair cut your hair will be lighter and easier to clean. also, if it is thinned out some it is less likely to get oily so fast.

yes, they are the same thing. there are no specific steps that you can follow. you can choose to deepthroat, by putting most of the guy's penis in you rmouth, or just do the tip. whatever you do, ask him what feels good and have him help you out. asking what he likes doesnt mean you dont know what youre doing, it means you want to make sure he is feelong as good as he possibly can.

i NEED to go to this concert on oct 23 that is on tuesday a school day of course
it is by my favorite band in the whole world and i haven't been to a concert yet so i dunno how i can convince my parents to let me go it is by 7:30 and ends by like 10 nish i think the place is only 6.90 miles away and takes approx 20 min to get there (i mapquest the location) it is downtown baltimore
and the tickets are only 20 bux

well, your parents are more likely to let you go without parental supervision if you bring a friend, so see if you can work that out first. when talking to your parents, tell them how much it would mean to you to see the band, that they are your favorite. tell them you are willing to pay for the tickets, and that they are very cheap. also let them know how close it is to where you live, and let them know that going to the concert will not affect you going to school the next day or affect your schoolwork in any way. let them know it ends early. if they wont let you go with just a friend, ask if one of them would be willing to take you and a friend. make sure you are very polite and respectful about it, have your case laid out so they can tell you took the time to think about telling them because it is important to you, and make sure you have all the information that they would need to look at. good luck!
