I was best friends with a girl who started getting on my nerves and she bossed me around, it got worse one day i school we got into a fist fight never talked again we hate eachother now. I tell her im better off and i have more friends. we have many classes together one. In one of them we have to do a group project of 3 and no more. The 2 girl I thought I was working with didnt want me working with them anymore and everyone else already had groups. She had two people to work with from the begining. I was one of the only people working by myself=/ I was devastated and almost cried but didnt let anyone see that it hurt me so i stayed strong especially in front of her. The other person working alone is really smart but also kind of weird and not exactly sociable. Im a pretty girl in school hes the total opposite of what I am and I asked him to work with me. Im afraid people will laugh at me and Im afraid ill be commiting social suicide becasue we have to make a presentation and its embarresing for me to not have anyone but him to work with I dont know how to deal with things im stressing so much about it the project is due soon their is no way I would ever get together with him helppppp!!! I feel like crying everytime we bring up the whole situation of the project hwo cold i even do it. (link)

who cares about those people? you seem really shallow if you are so worried what people will think just because you are working with someone who isn't exactly 'popular'. try not to care so much about what people think about you, it doesn't matter what those bitchy shallow popular people think about you, even if you are one of them. even though you shouldn't care what people think, it's still just a project. it will be over soon, don't worry. and try to get it done with him in school and if you cant stay after or go in early so you dont have to go to eachothers houses or anything.

SORRY THIS IS SO LONG!!
hi!!, okay, so i'm a freshman in highschool, and VERY VERY VERY shy. I don't quite know how to talk to guys, flirting, or just general conversation because im so worried that i'll say something stupid, or just ramble on and on and on, or not be understood...etc.
Adults in my life (from temple, or just adult friends) always tell me how poised, comfortable in my skin, and beautiful/pretty i am. They also say, "all of the boys must be all over you-(then they say this to my father) keep an eye on her, dont let her go out on too many dates." Well, i don't think im poised AT ALL, im really not that comfortable with my self-image, i don't think im pretty, or good looking, and i certainly don't do very well in the guy/dating department (although i want to).(i've also NEVER had a boyfriend, but i REALLY want to.)
it really bothers me when people tell me that i must be doing well in the guy dept becuase i feel as if im not measuring up to their expectations, or maybe that they're just saying that to be polite to me-which then makes me self-conscience.i get very upset when somebody says that, (i not to show it), and i just say thank you and then i feel horrible for the rest of the day/night.
i dont know why this is....so i have a few questions.......1) how do i respond to that question/statement without feelin badly, 2) how do i let people know not to say that to me, and 3) how do i talk to a guy, to make me like me and specifically to have him ask me out.................remember, im SUPER shy.

ALL YOU NEED IS CONFIDENCE! it seems like you are really pretty because a lot of people say that, but even if you weren't guys would still like you a lot if you were confident. just look in the mirror and pick out things that you like about your face. dress in outfits that make you feel more confident and comfortable. just because a shirt looks really good doesnt mean it looks good on you, so you cant really wear those. just wear things that look really good on your body so you will feel more confident, and then you WILL be able to tell these people that yeah guys do like you a lot.
