I've decided to take a pregnancy test two weeks after taking the morning after pill. is the result going to be accurate or is it possible that the hormones from the morning after pill mess with it?
At home pregnancy tests are testing for the presence of HCG, human chorionic gonadotropin. This is because this hormone is only released if implantation of the zygote (fertilized ovum) has been implanted/embedded in the endometrium lining of the uterine wall. So, that is basically what the test is testing for, and if HCG is present, it means implantation has occurred. That's why pregnancy tests are iffy, you can never really be certain until you get your period (which is the shedding of the endometrium linig). I am currently a pre-med student and this information is from my anatomy class (reproductive organs/system chapter,) so if you have any more questions let me know! Hello! So, I have a problem with my body. I'm a girl but it has nothing to do with puberty.
Ok, you see... I've had this treatment 2 times now. It didn't hurt a lot during the first time, but it hurt worse the 2nd time. But then, I had a surgery on it.
I have to do the treatment(not the surgery) again, and i'm afraid it'll hurt worse.
What do I do? I'm scared and I don't want to do this! I told my parents I don't want to, but they said "This is your last visit. You HAVE to do this. You are almost done." But they don't know how much it hurts! Well, my mom had this treatment before...

I am conserned that i might have herpies. My girlfriend gave me oral one day while my penis was raw from my pants zipper. She has a history of getting coldsores but has never been tested for herpes. She did not have a coldsore when she was giving me oral. Three days after i noteced i a scab was on the head of my penis. A day latter i noteced a few more small bumps that later scabed over. Me and my girlfriend are very concerened and would appreciate any available help.
I mean that certainly sounds like an infection of some sort, so there's a high chance it's an STI. I would go to a doctor ASAP!!!!!!!

If you go soon, the doctor may know of some kind of medication that can possibly stop it in its tracks/prevention/rash/etc. I am not familiar with medications/prescriptions on a doctorate level, and neither is really any on this site haha...so SERIOUSLY, go see a doctor IMMEDIATELY!

Hi, right now I have to HTC Evo 4G, although it is an alright phone, I plan to get an iPhone. I'm a senior in high school, graduating in 35 days. When my brother graduated, he got about 900 dollars. With my money, I plan to get a macbook for college, that's a must because the University I am going to is only compatible with macs and lenovo and my brother has a mac and loves it and my friend said they usually have really good deals on macbooks during the summer for college students. I also need to purchase some books, about two to three. Lastly, I plan to upgrade to an iPhone 4S, I've wanted one for a while but when I had an upgrade available the iPhone was not out for sprint yet, so I got the Evo. Now, when I graduate, I'm not sure if my upgrade will be available. So, would I still be able to get an iPhone even though an upgrade may not be available? I checked the Sprint site last night and the 4S is only 100 dollars and with the 5 coming out soon I assume the 4S's prices will drop a little bit, so it would easily be afforded with graduation money given. But my question is, if I don't have an upgrade, would I be able to get it anyway? Thanks!
YES! They only cost about 100/200/300 etc depending on the size, but you have to consider phone bills. If you get 900 for graduation, you will probably be able to pay the cell phone bills for around a year. Now if you're parents are paying for your bills, then absolutely get one!!!! After doing much research my husband and I bought a husky this past weekend. He is 13 weeks old and seemed to pick up using the puppy pads fairly quickly. His owner before him said that she put him in a crate when she was at work so about 8 hours. When my husband leaves for work he has to put Duke in his crate. But Duke just howls and howls. We've tried the water bottle trick, covering the crate, and leaving some music on for him but it doesn't seem to help. I'm moving there in 19 days(my husband is in the military so that's why we're apart) so it won't matter then because I'll be able to take care if him but we just need a temporary solution. We live in an apartment complex but we've talked to the neighbors about him already. We just want to comfort him as much as we can until I get there. Any suggestions on what to do would be helpful. Play the radio or TV in the background when you leave the house. It has been proven to calm dogs down, because they feel like they are not completely alone, because I also know from having a dog how once the house is dead-silent they start to get sad! I love huskies I'm jealous of you:)

I am supposed to give a presentation in front of the school next week and I am trying to get out of it but I can't cuz its part of my project (and its not even required but my mentor is making me do it) and I have a HUGE fear of public speaking. I have a partner but I can't control how I feel... I start to shake, sweat, my throat tightens up and gets so dry I can't talk. I will have to talk in front of about 800 people. Just the thought of it makes my face burn and I can't do it!
Are there any pills that can help me relax or anything else? I'd rather die...
There are pills like xanax that will make you "relax," but those will also make you sluggish and not an enthusiastic talker. If you are of age, I would take a FEW shots of vodka or something. 3 or 4 will give you a good buzz that makes you confident and lets you "let go," but if you take too many and become "tipsy" you may slur.
This is from experience, I have gotten buzzed before giving speeches (like for SPCH 140, a college introductory course on speeches) and it personally helped me LOTS! I felt like I was crackin hilarious jokes, personable, enthusiastic, and fun to watch!

I want to lose 10 or maybe 15 lbs in 2-3 weeks. Working out eating 1200 calories. Is that reasonable?
I'm 5'5" and 145 lbs
I am a Nutrition major in college, and I would say for 2-3 weeks a good amount is somewhere around 10. If you can lose 15, GREAT!..but that's gonna be hard. I also would suggest eating 1400 calories, because you can permanently lower your metabolic rate by eating too little. 1400 is diet standards, while still not depriving your body of energy and fuel. Try to stay away from fats, DONT be afraid of carbs, they are the primary fuel for exercise and brain activity. If you get hungry, eat LOTS of veggies and fruits..because they are nutrient dense with a high volume but low calories.

You should talk to a doctor of course but maybe he could take Viagra.. I am currently a pre-med student in college taking anatomy, and in the "reproductive system unit" you learn that an erection is caused by the spongy-ish tissue filling with blood, so if he goes soft after 10 mins like you said, that means the blood is leaving his penis. Viagra works to bring blood to those tissues, which is why some men experience reddening of the face, that's blood rushing to the surface. Y'all should see a doctor to see if he is capable to take Viagra, because he may have a condition, conflicting prescriptions, or such that could interfere.

Alright, so me and this guy have been talking for over a month(we've kissed) and he sends me cute texts a lot. I never know what to say haha. One time he said "yes! I am going to college soon and having a really hard time with the idea of leaving my friends and moving out. So i was told to join clubs. I tend to only hangout with guys though. I really want to break that habit and join an all girl sorority although i am not really the partier, what is a service sorority? Could that be what i am looking for or is there something better for me? I am more for sports for fun, art of all kinds, and just a really chill person not too wild.
A service sorority is a great way to meet well-rounded girls ANDDDD it looks GREAT on a resume!! I'm not in one but I know a few girls in the one at my college and they're pretty chill. Also, definitely join a sports club. I play in both club field hockey and intramural co-ed floor hockey. (I never played floor hockey before but it was relaxed and fun AND I met some guys bc its coed!). Definitely join many extracurrics, but not too much to handle.
