Hey, I am a helper for my church's sunday school class. The class I teach is made up of 4th and 5th graders. Well one of the 4th graders suffers from a disease, I dont know what its called..But he cant really focus on things. Its sort-of like ADHD but worse. So anyway, instead of him listening to the storys and doing crafts hes out of control. Sometimes I have to get his mom so she can calm him down. I told her that I would play with him while the other kids listened to the teacher every sunday. But I dont know what stuff we could do. Does anyone have any ideas? I also have to keep him quiet...so I dont know. I was thinking about coloring but hes a boy and I dont thinks little boys like to color. Thanks and I will rate:)
There are a lot of things that can entertain a little boy. That is a tricky age, I agree, but I know there is something he could find amusing. Try different things. When something doesn't work, move to the next. Bring an easy book for him that he could focus on as much as possible. Do a puzzle, ask him questions about himself, do something with a whiteboard. I always loved to draw on whiteboards because I found it amusing. Just experiment. I helped with kids under the age of 2 for over a year on Sundays. Some kids like being held a certain way, some liked being held the other way, each child is different. We would have to find out what the child was interested in to keep it occupied and happy. ok well yesterday me and my boyfriend broke up..he told me and my best friend that it was cause when we were on the phone that all I said was oh and thats cool and he didn't think I cared when he said stuff so I wasn't that upset about it..but then at school today everyone was like awww I feel so bad and I'm like I'm not that upset and there like wow how could he like her and I'm like what and no1 got a chance to tell me what that meant until my other friend was like I heard what happened and I was like yeah..and shes like do you know the reason and I was like yeah and shes like and your not upset and I was like no not really and shes like do you know this reason and was like he likes this girl (-shes such a slut and he has broken up with me before for her-) but thats not what he told me..and he also told my other friend that he thought I liked this one kid named Jordan but I dont we're in 7th and hes in 6th and hes just a friend..I can understand why he would say that though because my best friend likes him so we're always hanging with him..and so like I really wanna go back out with him..I like him soo much! and like health at school he was like staring at me the whole time and then in tech ed I was hanging out with my best friend and some other people like 2 boys and just my best friend..and he looked like so miserable..and like kept looking over at me..so I dunno if he still likes me or not and I'm gonna talk to him online tonight and I was wondering if hearing that story if you think he still likes me and what I should say to him and if I should ask him back out or just talk to him adn if just talk what should I say! sorry its so long..whoever reads this I'll rate you high!
I think you should just talk to him. You know, don't come onto him or act like you're gonna go farther, just act like a good friend. A lot of my friends have broken up, but they're still friends. So, just because he broke up with you doesn't mean you can't still talk to him! Just talk to him, see his reaction and what he does. If he seems like he still likes you, ask if he does. Also, ask him out if you feel like you should! Follow your heart, if you really think it would be better to stay as friends that's okay too. If he goes out with the "slut", that's not your problem. But still be his friend. Hope I helped.
