If you want to go out with him, i say go for it! Just not imediatly because it makes you look desperate. I think maybe a week after you get back to school from christmas break would be a good time to go out with him. As far as hanging out with him, i see no problem. If you still feel like you're betraying her, ask her to come along with her current boyfriend along with a few friends to clear your conscience. That way it really isn't like a date and you can decide from the way your friend acts if she's really ok with it. I hope i've been as helpful as possible! Happy Holidays and good luck!

giftcards work really well. if you want to get him a material thing, try cologne. Lots of girls personally prefer to have their guys wear this cologne called "Curve". its very sexy and classy. you can find it at www.ulta.com under unisex fragrences. "curve" is acctually an after shave but it can also be a cologne. If "curve" doesn't fit your budget, try "BOD", it works great too. Also "Axe". any one of those really. For giftcards try places like "Virgin Records", or "Cinemark Theaters." Something he'll use. Hope i was as helpful as possible! Happy Holidays!

Okay, so today, I went out and bought a CHI straightener. (I had a Hot Tools one, but it's too old. That's why the CHI was purchased.)
Well, I haven't used the CHI yet, and I only bought it because everyone raved about it. So, before buying it I went on amazon.com, and other websites, and looked at customer reviews for the CHI. More than half the reviews said that the CHI broke, and left damage to their hair. The ones that put the CHI down, recommended the 'Sedu' straightener.
I read the reviews for that one, and everyone RAVED over it, just LOVED it. So, I'm curious..did I make a mistake purchasing the CHI? Or does anyone have one..and have any complaints about it?
Does anyone have a Sedu? I just want to know about them both, thank you!

Sorry i can't tell you about the Sedu, but i definitally can about the CHI. I've had mine for about a year and it's still in perfect shape. And for the record, ALL hair straighteners will damage your hair, it's not just the CHI that does it. A good way to protect your hair is to use a really good conditioner/protecter. the CHI brand had a line of shampoo's and conditioners called "CHI" go figure. lol. The shampoo is called "Transformation shampoo" and the conditioner is "Transformation Treatment." Use about the size of a dime of each, the shampoo first, then the conditioner. A little bit of this stuff goes a long way so don't think i'd kidding when i say a dime size. DON'T use this shampoo as your regular shampoo, this is a shampoo designed to protect your hair from a flat iron. So wash your hair, then completly dry it. comb through your hair and when your straightening, spray a bit of "Aquage" beyond shine on the sections of hair your about to straighten. This will smoothe out curly or unruly textured hair and make it smoothe and sleek as well as protect it. Do all of this and I see no problem with you buying the CHI. If you can't find any of these products, ack your hair care lady and she will be sure to help you out.
NOTE: do NOT straighten your hair everyday, no matter which straightener you use it will fray the ends of your hair and it will be to fryed for words. The most you should ever straighten your hair with any type of straightener is at most once a week, once a month is prefured but i don't see you sticking to it. I have ringlet curls and it gets my hair board straight with a few strokes. If it works for my hair, sister it's gunna work for yours! I hope i've been as helpful as possible. Happy Holidays!

hey this is for guys mostly but if girls want to answer ok. so anyways im going out with this guy we have been dating for 2 weeks and i really need 2 buy him a christmas gift but he wont tell me what he wants. guys when u say that what does it mean. and any gift ideas would be soooo great. thanks. Yeah that can be tricky. Lucky for me i have an older brother and i've seen and solved this delema multiple times. The one thing you have to know about guys is that they don't really think into it like girls do. When he says he dosen't know what he wants- that's exactly what he means. Girls drop subtle hints and have meanings for different actions and expressions- guys don't. So if he doesn't know, no sweat, he's being honest and that's all you can hope for!
Now on the present idea, it depends on what type of guys you're dealing with. Cologne is always a good idea. Try "Curve", it's a very sexy, classic sent that every girl wants to see on her guy. you can find it at www.ulta.com for $35. It's actually an after shave but it works like a cologne. Not that big of a budget? Any homemade christmas treat guys love. It's a fact, guy's LOVE food. Sugar Cookies are great along with chocolate chips. This is also great, because guys will know that you took the time to do this instead of taking the easy way out. Not enough time? A giftcard to anyplace is fine. Cinamark Movies giftcirtificates, music stores like Virgin Records, anyplace that he likes will do. Clothing stores arn't always a great idea unless he asks for it. If you ask him if a giftcard to a store would be ok, that's fine. It all just depends on the guy. I hope I've been as helpful as possible. Merry Chrismas!

Don't worry, i had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. Here are some tactics used by professionals to add more "umph" and style to your hair.
Tapering- Where the front portion of your hair is cut at an angle so it fits and draws more attention to your neck line and facial features. It's a very classy look and looks very neat and put together with straight hair.
Side Part/Bangs- This adds a little drauma to your hair and it much more pleasing to see a side part than the boring straight down the middle hair line. It's much easier to keep up with since it goes with your natural part and hides those awful calics! If you want to add more drauma, try side part bangs. You can see this style on many celebs like Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, ect.
Layering- A curly haired girl's best friend. It cuts down on the poof of your hair and helps your hair look not so big and less frizzy.
I have all three and it works quite well. It's a very up to date look that's easy to keep up with and easy to work with, with all hair types. Don't be a little shy about the tapering and side bangs if your going to get both. They turn out fine if you are to do it. If you're a little hesitant about bangs, i'd say skip it and just go for the side part and tapering. Bangs arn't for everyone so don't feel pressured if bangs simply arn't for you!
always,
Carly
