Why are guys such jerks especially the good looking ones? Mainly the jocks, pretty boys, etc.? Why do all of them have too much confidence and an ego so huge it's hard to believe it was even possible a human to hold? Oh and WHY can you NEVER tell if they just wanna get in your pants or if they really like you for you because they're all good at wooing every girl possibly why is that? (link)

Although some guys may seem like jerks, most of them really are as self-conscious as you. They just seem to hide it better. Let them enjoy their egos right now. Once they leave the security of school and find they are suddenly no longer Big Man On Campus, those egos will deflate faster than a balloon landing on a cactus.
As for being able to tell if a guy wants in your pants, assume that they all do. It's not totally their fault, but the fault of hormones over which they have little control. In other words, it's biological for them to have these urges, and with so many pretty girls around, it's easy for them to act on those urges. But remember, conquest is the name of this game. They're not even remotely ready to settle down with one girl yet, so don't become just another knotch on a guy's belt.
