17/F. Okay, so long story short: I've been dating this guy for a little over a year now. And there's nothing wrong with our relationship. Except that he's fairly clingy.. and I do love him, and am very comfortable around him. The only problem is, I sorta wish i was single. Like I'm content at where I am with my boyfriend and our relationship, but at times I just really want to be single, and just have fun, without having to worry about a relationship. Like I said, we've been dating for over a year, and before him I had dated a guy for almost 2 years, so I've spent most of high school in a relationship with someone. I know I shouldn't be complaining, because not a lot of people can findthat special someone, but I can't help it. I really don't want to hurt my boyfriend, but I want to spend my last year of high school single and able to have fun and be a flirt, and not have to worry about being tied down. Any advice on what I should or shouldn't do, or anything that could help my situation would be very helpful. (link)

Time to break up.

You are yearning to be unattached and you are only going to grow resentful and unpleasent if you continue to remain a couple.

Tell him as soon as possible and as directly as possible - no text messages.

He will be hurt no matter how gently you put it, but he will get over it. Don't offer or try and be friends right after a breakup - our hearts don't turn on a dime. Be friendly, there's no need to pretend you don't know him, but move on with your own life.

Congratulations, you're normal!

It's not at all uncommon for a girl to miss a few periods or skip periods when periods start. In fact, they can talk all they want about a 28 day cycle, some women never get that regular.

Just hang in there for 6 months and see how things are then.
