Sweet Sixteen

Question Posted Sunday April 3 2016, 10:56 pm

My sweet sixteen is this summer and I don't know what theme I want. I want something big and glamorous, like you see in the shows, but at the same time I know my birthday is in the summer so I want something a little more outdoors. I've never had a beach/ pool party and it sound fun but I feel like it's too casual and I want to dress up. Any advice?

Hi, I completely understand this, sweet 16 parties are very important!! Since it's in summer, I understand you want to do it outdoors, but still dress up fancy and stuff. Do you have a big backyard? Do you know a friend who has a big backyard? If you do, it would be a great idea, outdoorsy, but still kind of fancy. If you want to do it in the beach and still make it look fancy and not so casual, you could do it at nigh, it's outdoors, and night is the perfect time for fancy! (;
You can look on internet themes for a sweet 16 b-day party, I'm sure there are dozens. You could use wiki.how to search up how to have an awesome sweet 16 party. (Wiki.how has EVERYTHING in it!!)

I hope my advice has been useful for you, yours truly, Adviceprofessional

My sister has had her sweet 16 and wanted similar things to what your asking for. her birthday is in July and she knew the weather would be perfect for an outdoorsy theme but then again she wanted something classy and casual. so what she came up with is a classy yet casual dance glow party. The idea of it was that everyone come in d a nice dress or something of that sort, and inside there would be a little/ no lights on and everyone would be wearing glow in the dark necklaces, glasses etc. Then outside is where the games would be. The games could be regularly played games that would have some glow in the dark things on it. and finally you could have glow in the dark plates, fork, spoons, knives. and you could also have glow in the dark desserts such as cupcakes, cakes and drinks. A few things my sister did that everyone loved was that she had some activites. there was one i remeber, she had a black backdrop, and some glow in the dark accesories, and she used that as a picture booth. and she also had a sign in book where all her guest could sign their name to put some class back into it. they also played some games like how well do u know your partener. and is basically like any marriage game that sees how well you know your husband/wife. Of course this will all have to done at a darker time at night.
