i don't really know any ups and downs about it.
and i'm not trying to talk you out of this.
i just wanted to say, you're only 13. if you wanna get this done, you should wait a couple years.
you are still growing, so that means your size probably will also, as you grow.
in a couple of years, if you still wanna get it done, i think if you really want to you should(: ]
you are 13.
hear me out.
what are your reasons.
being uncircumcised is totally normal.
my fiancee is uncircumcised.
apparently its more pleasurable to be uncirc for male and females alike when being intimate.
so if you think girls wont like it or you feel shy about it forget it.
because its totally normal. it isnt dirty. it isnt unhealthy.
its natural.
if you have reasons such as you are doing because of medical reasons by all means. but i think its silly to decide such a think about your body when you dont know alot about it.
read about circumcision. and uncircumcision.
ask your doctor.
and i would suggest waiting until you know everything about it.
AND know the real reason why you think you need to have it. ]
If you have made up your mind and can't be convinced otherwise then why did you ask for advice? What you need to do is talk to your parents and book a consultation with a urologist to discuss pros and cons and complications before having the operation.
They know the downside and complications better than anyone here. It is much more difficult to circumcise an adult male I've read that much. Most people get it done because it hurts to retract their foreskin, it's too tight and or it has become quite cracked and painful.
They also do it because they think it's more attractive and or cleaner. Others do it because of religion or because it can reduce chances for certain infections/diseases. Also, because of smegma and build up of gunk people like to have the glans exposed rather than hidden inside the foreskin.
The downside is the incredible pain associated with the actual operation as it will be quite difficult to endure. You need to talk to a urologist about all your concerns as we're not doctors as only they will know if you are a prime or bad candidate for this at your age. It's common to circumcise infants and children but becomes more difficult for them with teens/adults.
Also you need to consider the cost. It's not cheap. In Canada I know some urologists charge $300 at least and that it's never done free in hospitals for infants anymore. You also have to ask yourself why do I want to do this?
Are you embarrassed about having a foreskin when others don't? Do you want to look like everyone else? What's driving your decision here? Ask yourself if it's right and make sure you get tons of info and facts. ]
