I have had my tongue pierced twice and it does hurt, but the piercing is done so quickly that it is over before you can really hang on to the pain. You just need to bring a friend or someone who makes you feel comfortable. Choose a focal point and try to relax. It is done before you know it. Afterward it gets sore and your tongue swells a little. After a couple of weeks it won't be sore and you will love it. You MUST keep it clean and take care of the piercing to prevent infection. There will have to be a parent/ guardian if you are not 18. ]
Yes it does hurt. It hurt more than my tattoo.
They did not numb it. I made one mistake, make sure before you go you eat first! I didnt eat and i ended up throwing up, it sucked.
Yes, you need a parent or guardian. ]
I just went with two of my friends while they got their tongues pierced last week. :) And I live in Mass too so it'll probably be the same thing.
1] Yes, it hurt them. They said it felt more weird than painful, but the recovery time is a bit more difficult because of trying to eat with the new piercing.
2] They didn't freeze my friends tongues. They made them wash their mouths with mouthwash, wiped it off completely, and then just clamped the tongue and pierced it with a needle.
3] I'm pretty sure that you NEED a parent/guardian signature in order to get a piercing. ]
