My dog snaps her teeth together Posted Saturday April 12 2014, 9:14 pm
Today I was taking my dog out for a walk and this other dog came out of no where from behind us. My dog turned around and lunged at her and did this teeth snapping thing twice. Eventually the owner came and got their dog while I was pulling to get my dog away from the other dog. I had to pick my dog up and walk away (She's big and heavy.) I just want to know what it means. She snapped twice at the air, and the poor dog that came from behind looked like she was really excited to see my dog.

Unleashed, agressive dog Posted Saturday March 1 2014, 7:59 am
I live in an apartment complex, and there is a dog in one of the other apartments here who gets very, very angry whenever he sees my dog. He's charged at my dog several times and starts to growl whenever he see him. So far, we've been lucky, there has always been a fence between us when the dog has charged.
The guys who own the dog says he only has a problem with my dog. My neighbours say there are several other dogs he has an issue with, although he's okay with most.
The big problem: This dog is NEVER leashed. He gets to roam the property. So I have to be incredibly vigilant every time I go for a walk, and it's really stressing me out.
I've asked them to keep their dog on a leash, and they've sa...

How to help a feral pigeon Posted Tuesday February 4 2014, 11:08 am
Hey advicenators :) Does anyone have experience/knowledge about feral pigeons?
I have this adorable little family of rock pigeons that came into my life when the parents decided to nest on my apartment balcony. I watched them raise their babies every day (they made a nest in my bucket). The babies are all grown up and flown away now, but I still see the parents here every now and then.
The male (atleast I assume he is the male cause he is much bigger than his partner) always had a stick stuck to his leg, with what looks like tangled thin twine. The twig is gone now, but his foot is all curled up and full of twine stuff and it looks like he's trying not to walk on it.. I'm scared he may lose his foot, do you t...

Convincing my dad to get a puppy Posted Sunday January 26 2014, 6:18 pm
I am 14 and I have 3 siblings all older. I really want a puppy. My mom is all for it but my dad makes up a million excuses for me not to get one. He says that money is a problem but I found cheap insurance and I am paying for the puppy and everything that it needs (bed, food, ect.) Then my dad says that it will scratch the furniture, but I know that if I train it correctly it will not. Also he thinks that he is the only one that will take care of it. Because when I was an infant and all my siblings were 7 and under he complains that he had to take care of it. I was an infant how was I supposed to take care of it. I have tried everything trying to convince him and every time I bring it up he just gets all frustrated and walks away. ...
