How to keep snakes away from you while hiking? Posted Sunday December 15 2013, 11:51 pm
I love hiking, but I am terrified of snakes, and my friend knows this... so she was telling me that if i wrap myself in some sort of insulation when i'm outside hiking that the snakes will stay away from me. She had no reason behind this.. so I don't believe her, lol. Is this true?

I noticed that ever since I've been on birth control, my hips have gotten wider. I know because I have to go a size up in pants and I have always been slender. Recently, I started noticing that my upper body is getting bigger. I do not mean my breasts, I am not sure if my breasts are getting bigger but I have been noticing that I am starting to no longer fit in my regular size tops and I would need to go a size up.
I recently contacted my doctor and they said widening hips are not due to the birth control pills. I was thinking that maybe I was eating too much but I have always had a fast metabolism. But my doctor also said that the birth control that I am taking does not slow down my metabolism either. ...

Okay,so I've been working out rigorously for the past year. I have lost around maybe 25-30 pounds. I originally was a size 3 but then went on antidepressants last year and blew up to a size 12. I am back to my original size 3 jeans...sort of. I kept my old jeans because I wanted to get back into them and for some reason, half of my size 3 jeans fit again but then the other half I can get up to my waist but I can't button them. I noticed I gained muscle in my legs so I thought that might be the reason. Does that make sense? What could be the cause?

Last September, I had sex with my boyfriend. It was unprotected but using the calendar method, it was on the safe day. After that my period was very light and lasted for 3 days, but that happened twice in september. This month, October, I missed my period but I'm experiencing cramps. Got no signs of pregnancy and took 3 pregnancy tests, all negative. What could this possibly be?

I am 13 and about 5 feet tall. I weigh 100 lbs. Now, before you say that is super skinny, and blah blah, let me tell you some things.
I am an A34 chest size and my stomach sticks out much farther than my breats.
My stomach almost hangs over my pants.
This is one reason I cut myself. (I have been for a year)
Am I overweight or should I lose weight?

Hi all,
I've been working out consistently for a month now and would now like to incorporate more weight lifting into my routine, rather than just cardio.
As a beginner, I feel that using the weight machines would be a better start in terms of doing the right movement and so on. A more controlled situation, should I say.
However, I'm not really sure what my "plan" should be or how to make one.
My gym does offer fitness consultants but they are very pricy and I can't afford to make a fitness plan with one right now.
So I was wondering if anyone with weight lifting experience would be kind enough to tell me the kind of sets/reps I should have and what order I might want to d...

I am 13 male and i am 1.67mt or 5.5ft and i weigh 60kg or 132lbs. I eat a lot of everything but i am pretty skinny, i would like to make chest muscle and abs, but at the same time not get skinny, cause i dont like to be skinny. So is there any advice i can have here to make me buff up??

Hey everyone!
26/f. 5'3", about 130 give or take a couple pounds. History of anorexia ending something like 5-6 years ago, slight body dysmorphia still on bad days.
Background: I gained weight recently because of a steroid medication I was on for crohn's disease. To combat this known weight-gain issue while I was on it, I immediately switched to a clean eating/daily workout lifestyle. I'm thankfully off the medication, but kept the lifestyle...and the 15 pounds I gained.
That said, I don't expect to ever reach 115 again like I'd love to, because I have a pretty decent amount of lean muscle mass in my lower body. I run barefoot-shoe, so my legs are ALL muscle. I also do primarily body-resistance "lifti...

I come from a fat family (not to be mean or anything lol). And my brother is 4 and has because over weight :( he's going to school in about a week and I don't want him to gow to kindergarten and be picked on especially because I'm in middle school and I can't protect him. I try to tell him no even when my parent say it ok to have extra because I know he doesnt need it. But they give in so easily, and I'm just a kid so it's not like their going to listen to me so what do I do??

Hello everyone female, 20 years old.
I would say about 10-11 years ago I was diagnosed with kyphosis and scoliosis. The scoliosis was minor but the kyphosis was the major issue they were concerened with. I went to physical therapy for a year after which didn't do much. I haven't seen a doctor since.
I deal with pain or soreness every day in my back. I pretty much look just like I have horrible posture, besides that my ribs are uneven and I constantly lean on one side. I work in an office where I must be on a computer all day. I've been dealing with rude people all my life telling me to sit up straight and that I'll be a hunchback when I'm older.
