Online school?

Australian, Year 9, female.
Hi,
so I have been thinking a lot about starting online school. I've spoken to my parents about it and they seem slightly reluctant (as I expected), but I'm sure with good reason and persuasion they'll allow it. The thing is, I don't know if I should or not. I find myself constantly thinking of reasons why I should start online school. I really am not liking school, I don't like how teachers emphasise the 'importance' of tests, I don't like all the cliques and the 'popular' people (which also, is a reason why I am not very confident), I don't like that they make us do sport where balls are being thrown around everywhere, yes, I do active things, I just don't enjoy ball sports. Are these levels good in year 8?

I'm in year 8 and I got a level 5b in science and a 6c in maths (I'm in the middle set for both of these lessons but second-top set in everything else.) these are my levels for the rest of my subjects.
English- 5a
Re-5c

Seating plan

My English teacher is known for changing the seating plan a lot and she most recently changed it on Friday. I hadn't moved seats since September, and I feel uncomfortable where I'm sat, maybe it's because I'm not used to it, I don't know, but my teacher sat me next to a really disruptive kid,who's really annoying me. I used to sit next to my best friend, but we never distracted each other, and I liked that I was sat next to him, because if I was stuck, he'd help me and vice-versa. I was also more comfortable with the position where I was sat, right near the front, but now I'm on the middle row which is longer the other rows, which means I have one person either side of me which means I need to be very careful when I'm writing, but when I on...

22/F here with a 8 year old nephew who is in 3rd grade. Currently he came home crying saying his teacher denies him going to the bathroom all the time and called him a "knucklehead" in front of the whole class. Also said what he has been wearing lately to school is "weird" mind you they have to wear uniforms. She constantly messages my sister about stuff like "he was eating a lollipop while walking in the hallway when he should know better" I understand rules are rules but this is a 8 year old child and don't believe he should be picked on. My crush is friends with one really nice girl and one really mean girl

Recently, I've began to develop a crush on my female friend(let's call her Jenny) and she recently became friends with a really nice girl (let's call her Anne) and friends with a really mean girl (let's call her Amanda). Jenny and Anne are both really nice to me and compliment my stories. Amanda however says they're not good and they're rude. The rudeness in the stories stopped a long time ago and she'd never even read one so she couldn't judge them. Laptop for lessons other than English?

In my first year of secondary school I used a laptop in English, History, Geography and Religion because my writing was difficult to read. I'm now in my second year and I only use it English because that's the only one of my teachers that's stayed the same from last year. But I don't know if I should ask to start using it because my crush broke her hand earlier this year so she had to use one as well but I'm worried that the other teachers will think I'm copying her. My English teacher hasn't told me to get a laptop that much recently but the SEN department are very strict and they will point out that you haven't collected a laptop for ages if you begin using them less frequently so this is 2 main questions

I'm currently in Grade 12. Most people are excited to graduate, but I am dreading graduation. Let me explain my situation, and then can anyone help me?
I'm pretty much terrified. University is going to be so much different, and I won't have my friends around. I haven't had to face a single day of school without them since the first day of kindergarten, and even then I was introduced to my one BFF within like the first 5 minutes, and another of my BFFs within like 30 min. Like I'm going to be so lost without them!

This might sound a little stupid to some people, but to me it feels like the end of the world. My teacher had to take a phone call at the beginning of class, we also had a test that day. I guess I got so into my book I read right through the test and didn't even answer a single question, heck I didn't even get a paper! I heard the Bell ring and realized I didn't even get a test. I just walked out of the room like an idiot before he saw me. Now he's going to find out that I read right through a test and get really mad. I honestly don't know what to to and don't even want to go back to school tomorrow!

not focussed on homework

I am having a lot of difficulty staying focussed on my homework. I am in Grade 12, and I get decent (well actually pretty good) marks, and I don't have to work super hard to get 90s. However I know that if I just tried a little bit harder, I would be making 95s in almost every class. My problem is that whenever I get on the computer to work on homework, I start browsing social media or playing games (not even good ones...games that are just time-killers like solitaire). I have tried just telling myself to stay off these sites, but I just can't seem to do it.
Any suggestions on how to stay focussed? I know I am getting into some bad habits here that I should really break before I go to university.

Hello, thanks for considering my question.
I have nearly finished Secondary School but lately I have been finding myself BORED. I am tired everyday and just look forward until the end of school and I know this attitude is bad to have. I have been feeling really weird lately; tired, hungry but not hungry at the same time, a rollercoaster of emotions and a lack of enthusiasm. I have been sleeping a lot more than usual and my body for the past few weeks has been feeling low. My emotions have been a wreck and I just want to get out of school, out of my home and just do something. But I feel so wrong, bored, exhausted and irksome for the past 2 weeks.

I keep procrastinating... how do I stop?

Whenever I start studying or doing homework, I get distracted by messages. I turned off iMessage, but I still somehow end up texting my friends at 10 pm at night, not finished any homework. I don't know how to fix this, I always make a schedule for myself including a few breaks but I can never stick to it and I eventually end unprepared for a test or not finished my homework. If anyone could provide me with some other useful methods to stop procrastinating, that would be great! Thank you!

Heyy.. i hope you can help me.. So i am ectually a A student but latly all i do is going through my phone or lap top and doing nothing.. This year is my final year and i need to study buti odnt have that motivacion anymore.. When i com from school Im really tired and i always say il go in bed at 10pm and i actually end up going at 2 am and i need to wake up at about 8 am so i can study but then im really tired and not concentarted.. On the first day of my college theater class, the professor split us up into groups of about five or six people and told us that we were going to spend the semester working on a project together. The project was to choose a scene from any play to perform on the last day of class for our final exam. Everyone in the group had a job to do and each job was due on a different date in the semester. Other than acting, the jobs were set design, makeup design, costume design, and lights. All of those only had to be done of paper though and some people had to act and do one of these jobs.

way too stressed and not motivated

I am in Grade 12. I am currently taking four courses, three of which have super heavy workloads and the fourth is moderately heavy. I also currently have at least 5 projects on the go between the 4 classes. I work 2 or 3 times a week and I am involved in our school choir.
I am super stressed right now because for the last couple of weeks I have been working on homework until at least 12 almost every night, whereas before this November, the latest I had done homework was 11:30. I also take almost 1/2 hour to fall asleep and get up at 6:30 every morning, so I am super behind on sleep. I don't even get to catch up on weekends at all because I still have homework, and I have to get up on time for work on Saturdays and church on S...

Should I start homeschooling in 8th grade?

I've been going to public school since kindergarten (I'm in eighth grade now), and honestly, I'm frustrated by how little we actually learn at school in comparison to the amount of "busy-work" we do. I only have a few classes where I actually feel as if I'm learning anything - the rest are seemingly pointless. Would homeschooling be a good option? And if so, are there any online learning programs you would recommend? Also, is it a good idea to start in the middle of the school year or should I wait until next year (ninth grade)? Thank you!!
