i need some help for a final

1. what kind of membrane does a cell have?
2. Describe active and passive transport
3. what happens to a cell in hyper,iso, and hypotonic?
4. what make a solution acidic, basic or neutral in terms of ions? (really confused about that)
5. Describe covalent ionic and hydrogen bonding?
(i failed like all the tests on them:()
6.why does water attract water?
(is it because water molcules have a covalent bond???????)
7. what is the end product of mitosis and meiosis in terms of chromosome and cell #?
8. what is cytokinesis?

stressed about coursework

not meaning to blow my own trumpet or anything, but i usually do well in school. recently, though, as we're working towards our GCSEs we've had a load of coursework dealines for like NEXT WEEK and i've hardly done any of them. I know i should sit down and work on the coursework but i can't - i have a kind of brain freeze. im scared that mum'll get dead narked at me if i get bad grades, but i know i can do it. can anyone help??

A boy that I like

There is this boy that I known for about 2to4 and a 1/2 years I like him I love him but there's a problem though because he's in the 9th grade and im in the 7th he likes me and I like him.But I just didn't tell him how I felt. But he's going to leave junior high soon and I keep showing signs that I like him but he just doesn't get it. "i just love him thats why i dont know what to do with out him". someone please help me.

Today I was named captain of my school's cheerleading squad, which is really good until I realized that I have no idea what I am doing. This is the first time my school has had a real squad and if I mess it up they might not have it again. Someone suggested renting a video on cheering, does anyone else have ideas?

The art teacher is kiling my son's self steem

Hi, I'm a single 37 year old mother, My son is 12 and in 7th grade, he is going to Public school. His conduct has been allways A, but for first time in his school years there is a teacher that thinks all the oposite, I have talk with my son and he says he doesn't know why she doesn't like him, his art work is allways under grade and for some reason now and then, his work disapears from the room. I request a meeting once before, but I felt the school counselor cover up the teachear's behavior and the situation got a little better, but know I can't aloud this abuse to keep going on. My son is an artist and is been selling his work for sometime, the teacher didn't know that, when I told her she sayd maybe he is a good sculptor, but nothing...

This is a thank you to all those who gave me advice with the bullying good news im now home schooled started from last wednesday i have to teach myself but i proved to my teachers ppl just dont like me for what ever reasons so a masive thank you to all of u it means a lot.. good luck in ur lifes and i hope i could return the favour.

I was just wondering if anyone knows what kind of grades I would need to get in order to get into a University College. Right now I have a 4.0 weighted grade but only because I'm taking honors classes. Does anyone know what kind of extra curricular activities I'm going to have to do in order to be able to make it into a UC?

hey i was listening to the radio and i only caught the end to this. it was talkin about gettin some collage credits while your in high school. it said for 8th and 9th grades could join but i really dont know it there was an 1-800 in there but here the number. if anyone could call it and tell me what it is all a bout i would really really like that. Ok there is this thing during lunch and I am like, idk, like all WHATEVER! about it. and my friends want me to go and i want to go but i think the preppies in my school are like, oh yeah look at me, and I dont like people like that. But deep down i feel that if i go that i'll become good friends with them. What should I do?

Falling grades

Im a straight A student and I have never really cared much about my grades. It isn't hard for me to get a A at my school. I am in 6th grade and I know this isn't very serious but I'm worried. I have gotten a B+ on my test in math...yeah I know no big deal...and I know it isn't. I just took it as a sign to pay attention in class, which I do. I recently got a A+ on my math test so everything is fine in math. I'm not worried about any of my other classes except language arts. For the past two quarters its been a easy A. I got a B or a B+ on one of my tests and I was like alright, that was just a mistake I made and I'll be sure to pay more attention. i'm a 16 yr old wo has been bullied for 9 nine years. Mostly fopr the pure reason of my apperance. I live in a family of five in a one parent family. I arn't the kind of kid to ask for everything maybe coz i no we cart afford it. At school i have at least 90 kids bullying me about my appearance and teaseing me. We i started igh school i had a group of friends but now the popular person in the group lost a bit of weight and turned into a bitch saying i could never get that size because im a size 16. Sjhe is aware i am being bullied. Now i have no friends at school cart go to half my lessons coz its so bad. I arn't jelsous of them i just no why people say be proud to be different if ppl just bully u. Ive been to the doctors about depresstion ...

Chemistry Coursework

For my chemistry coursework I was given the task 'Comparing the enthalpy of combustion of various alcohols'. It basically means that I had to burn ethanol,methanol,propanol and butanol in spirit burners and measure the tmperature change of the water in a calorimeter suspended above the burner.
I'm not sure how to go about writing up the analysis or what to write in the risk assessment.
Have you got any suggestions?

Which is better, public or private?

My husbannd and I want our daughter to get a good education. She will be 5 in July. We can't afford to move, and there is a publice school down the street that seems ok. We were looking at private schools, but I don't drive, and would have to take her on the bus, which may not be that convient. What if I miss it, or it's late, or it's raining. My mother-in-law lives across the street,and she says it would be easier to just take her to the public school down the street. She says private school can wait till Jr. high or High School, when kids are more likely to get in trouble. Her neighbor has two girls that go to the public school and they "love it there". Hi im one of your fellow advice columnist!
I'm asking this question because i'm desprete! (no offence) My mom has this hatrid for schools and so i'm home schooled but I don't get taught anything! Some of you may think this is great but I want to go to collage and my mom is excepting me have my GED when I turn 16 which is in 2 years. My mom says thats its my responsability to remind her to teach me. Its just that I don't like to remind her because all she does is give me the same stuff to that she has been giving me for the last 6 years.
