Writing project

In one of my classes I was given a project to make a modern day adaption of a classic fairy tail, and I'm doing Cinderella. I have many different ideas on how to make it unique from the millions of other adaptions of the story, but there's one thing I want to do that I need some help with.
The story is going to deal with heavy topics, and as with all serious stories, I'm going to need some sort of comic relief. To be clear, Cinderella in this is a foster child who was adopted for the sole purpose of extracting money from the state. Her birth parents are both dead.

Ok so, im in band at school and someone has taken my music, but i have to preform the song in front of a band director tomorrow, no one knows my music is gone and if i do not preform tomorrow my grades will be affected horribly... what do i do!?!?!?

Career paths and baby maybe

AHHHH!! ðŸ˜Someone anyone make the decision for me I CANT I just can't I tried for a too long 😩😩😩 I love both nursing and occupational therapy but my heart has always been in occupational therapy, it's my dream career. Nursing-RN Qcc only 8 classes left still 1 1/2 years 3-11 5 days week then 1 1/2 more for the bachelors in nursing(BSN required to be a nurse now these days) OR Occupational therapy assistant 2 years, only 2-3 classes a semester (bc my bachelors degree) then 1 year of full time work then 2 year ONLINE program to get the masters in occupational therapy and can have a life and a family in the meantime whenever if I do the assistant program OR straight into the Masters of occupational therapy program (my dream career ð...

Burnt out in my junior year of college?

I used to love going to school and taking classes, but this semester I've come to resent it. I hate that I have to take four classes it just feels like so much work especially when I also work a part time job.
I used to care so much about getting all A's, but lately it seems like my professors intentionally try to trip their students up.
For example just last week I had a 100 A in one of my classes after doing around 10 assignments. Then we took an exam that was extremely difficult and the class average was a C. Well I got a 71 and it brought my grade all the way down to an 80 in the class. I was furious.
Fast forward to today in a different class. I had a 94 A and then I got an essay back I wr...

Paraprofessional Job

Hello! I am 23 and a new hire as a paraprofessional in a school district. My assignment for the year was a nine year old boy, so I am in an elementary school, of course.
This nine year old boy has begun acting out at the end of last year, he did not have a paraprofessional at the time so he was always leaving the class to go sit in the office because the teacher could not deal with him and the class.
Anyway, goals for this year are to keep him in class and make sure he gets his work done (he barely completed any work last year, baffling me as to how he even passed onto fourth grade but that is neither here nor there) but when he needs a break, we can go take a walk or do something the calm him down for five min...

Hello. I am going to give my maths exam in May and I am very stressed. When doing a practice paper I panic, my parents are supportive they tell it is fine if I get bad marks in the practice and that it will show my weak points. I am afraid to disappoint them, I'm scared that I will get bad marks in the real test and I start to panic and get scared. I don't know what to do. I want to make my parents proud. I revise but I forget easily and that's unlike me. I am so confused. Thinking about the real exam makes me want to puke. How can I improve my weak points in maths and how can I cope with my fear? arab women in history

In school we are doing a woman's history project and we have different women for different ethnic groups. I have got a few down, but I need more. I can't find many resources. Any time I try to search up stuff like "Arab women throughout history" or "Arab woman *insert profession here*" etc etc I can only find stuff about Muslims. I will accept Arab Muslim women but I need to be sure I'm writing about an Arab and I have no idea why google seems to think Arab=Muslim. Can someone find me a recourse?

Should I move schools?

(kinda hard to write this without using my age.....)
I really need some help with this. When i go to school, I finish all my work WAY before the deadline. I get bored because my teachers do not have any more work for me. A teacher suggested moving schools, one with an IB program. I am sick of being bored, but I dont want to leave behind my best friends. I am DEFINITLY not popular but I love my school. Should I move? So for my school there's an ad for Juniors and Seniors to participants in a paid internship for about 7-8 weeks during the summer then after all the for a week we'd go to an all expenses paid round trip to Washington D.C. I want to go but I'm having doubts It's very hard to talk to people i think it's social anxiety but a doctor has never examined me so I'm not sure. I don't want to be in a place where I don't know anyone and I won't be able to come home if I'm uncomfortable I live in California and that's a huge distance from my comfort zone. Another doubt is the trip is from July 9, 2017 - July 14, 2017. But on the 14th there is a concert I'd told my cousin I'd go to with her and I don't want to break that promise but I don't know when on...

Ok so I'm Junior in high school and I've had honor roll since 4th grade my freshman year I got my first C in geometry but the rest of the times I had As and Bs this year idk what happened but my grades were TERRIBLE and not terrible like a straight A student would say when they got a B I'm talking about failing my first class ever in math analysis getting a C in Ap English an A in Spanish and ceramics but cmon that's easy a D in Ap history and an a in physics I'm ahead of credits so i know I'll graduate and I'm gonna retake my history and math but I'm scared I won't get into a university like I wanted to I haven't started applying either but I don't wanna waste my time of its hopeless

I can't concentrate

Hi. I am in middle school, and throughout the years people have always been describing me as smart and I do like to study. However lately I am finding it harder and harder to concentrate. Like, I only use the iPad to play music sometimes. But I mainly get distracted by a book, or my phone occasionally.
I know I can't keep on going on like this. Please, advice is appreciated.

I got a bad mark

I am 14 and I am usually an A student. However on this certain maths test I got the worst mark I've ever gotten in my years in middle school. I didn't fail or anything but it was still pretty bad. I was upset not only because of that but also because we have a pretty bad teacher; she confuses us, like she first says it's that then she says it's the other way around. And some of the things on that test she didn't even teach us about. I am very upset as I found this unite easy usually.

My alcoholic mother neglected my education from age 5 by "unschooling" me (it's code for lazy parents who are too prideful to admit their failure in homeschooling) I'm going to be 18 next year and I've never been so depressed and hopeless.
I tried to motivate myself to catch up academically years ago, but it just made me too upset to even open a text book.
I have no idea what to do. I feel like I have no future.

Which school should I choose?

Hi so I recently got a scholarship to a Catholic school. My mom works there and she really wants me to move to this school because she wants me to learn about my religion more and teach it to my kids when I grow older. I grew up a Catholic.
The school I am at now is already a pretty good public school and is rated well, the Catholic school is good too, but the thing it that the school I'm at now is really good for art. Art is one of my passions and I have loved it since a young age, I get told that I am really good at it too. When I'm older I want to pursue a career as a designer, and the school I am at now is good for that sort of stuff.
I love all my friends too and it would be hard to move school...
