my mom and my best friend

i'm an Indian girl.19 yrs old.recently I failed to clear my medical entrance test and landed up doing bsc in botany IInd yr.i've been a good friend with my mom always.but being a l'll bossy and ego person(which she should be)she fails to come upto my satisfaction level(she often ignores me,never likes my thoughts,snubs me,makes decisions which'd be on her side)2 yrs back I ended up with my one great friend 'coz she and my mom didn't work out well.my mom thinks she was olways rude) while I think she was equally egoistic as my mom is and that's why two cudn't gel up well. Im getting really jealous

My bestfriend and I went to college and he took the easy way. The median of his salary when he graduates is around 40k while mine is 90k, I warned him about this and he told me that its ok. Now I was trying to observe both his and my experiences.
On his first month, he and his new friends went to mount rushmore for four days. Then their second year was even more of a blast, they went to paris.
Now I have many things to be jealous about, I know I'm not supposed to be feeling this way since I have a bright future ahead, since I never get grades any lesser than 98, but he just seems to have so much fun.

I am 14 years old and my best friend, who i notice, has head lice. She told me that she has nits, but she never said she had the actual lice in her head. When we would hang out, I can see the nits in her hair, and I did see a bug in her hair, which was lice. We had a sleepover and after a few weeks, My head started to itch but I just thought it was dandruff or something. One day, I was messing with my hair and I noticed that It had a nit stuck on it. I had lice before, so i know what a nit looks like. I had my mom check my hair, and she went to the store to get some head lice treatment. Weve been best friends for 3 years now and im glad i have her. But she never seems to be happy for me. No matter what i do, to her she can do it better. She always has to one up me. And copy me. Anytime i say i want a new piercing she says eww and sometimes like that wont look good on you. But then a couple days later she will tell me that she wants that piercing that she said eww to. loosing friends

Anyway, so at camp I told my 'friend' since pre-k how me and another 'friend' got into s fight. I was going to invite her and a few other friends to my party, but I ended up cancelling. So she threw a hissy fit and talked shit about me. I said i wanted to fight her. Anyway, so this camp friend went and told her that. Now this hissy fit friend wants to have her dad go talk to my dad (good luck with that, you'll be in New York while my family is in New Jersey for 2 weeks) so now I lost two friends. Anyway, I already had some elaborate scheme set up about ostrichizing her, and some people already agreed to it. I'm afraid that I'm going to end up friendless, though. Thoughts?

Friend didn't make the team

Last year my friend convinced me to tryout for the field hockey team and everyone made the team. This year we are in high school an they had to make cut but she didn't get in. I'm goalie so I pretty much knew I was gonna get in because there were only 3 goalies and the other two are on varsity. But she plays field and she got cut and I feel bad because I only did this because she wanted me to and I don't even like to play I just want to stay in shape. But I don't know if I should quit because she didn't make it or stay in. Plus my dad thinks it would be good if I stayed playing. So should I stay or should I quit? And if I stay how do I make my friend feel better that she didn't make it?

I'm attempting to locate somebody I haven't spoken to in months. The only way I have communicated with him was on a site that has now crashed, and I don't know his name. The username was incassum, he was 26, and I don't know where they lived. But he was an antinatalist, a philosopher, an atheist. And very interesting to talk to. Should I loan him money

I got employed recently and got my first month salary a few days back. The problem is one of my friends asked for 1000 bucks to lend him and he said he will return it next month. I know him since I was 14 and I'm 24 now. I know he won't return the money coz he already owes me money. I have a problem telling no and I agreed to give him the money. I am so confused on this. I don't have a lot of friends so I'm afraid of losing him. Further more if my mother comes to know about this she will kill me. I know the mother part sounds silly but thats how I grew up. I don't want to give the money nor do I want to lose him. The more frustrating thing is that I haven't spend any of it for my family nor myself. That adds to my dilemma. As far as l know ...

Need excuses to not go out with my friends

This question is slightly more complicated than you might think it is by looking at its title.
My friends go out every night. They play cops and robbers first and then go to the pool to play truth or dare. Honestly, I don't mind the cops and robbers part; I even like it. But the truth or dare part is what I'm at discomfort with. They come to my house every night and ask me to go with them to play and to this day, I've managed to play cops and robbers but leave when they start playing truth or dare, saying it's past my curfew when it really isnt. advice with my difficult manager

So I am 18 and I'm a college student working a part-time retail job to help pay for school, etc. I actually really like my job and love the people I work with...my managers on the otherhand...ehhh.
So one of my managers is 22. Since we are close in age, we sort of bonded. For months, I saved up to give my bestfriend a nice birthday stroll... We went here and there and I made sure he had fun. But when I got back home, I logged on to fb, and saw he posted a bunch of things. There were things like "I love Jesus" and a post tagging his girlfriend saying "Hi Mahal (love) I love you." and other bunch of random stuff... I also spent a whole 20 hours out of my house looking for this gift he always wanted, and when I gave it to him, he was like, "Oh my god! thanks!" then nothing else... I feel guilty about feeling this but I feel so unappreciated...

My friend sounds like he's in love

Ok, he went home from the countryside and all he did was tell me about his cousin. He was soo into her that he started crying every night and calling me telling me he misses her. I asked him if he loved her romantically, he said no, that he only loved her as a sister. But when I asked him, why do you love her, he replies "she's just really different." What's that mean? I really need help. Also, how do I make him stop missing her?

We're all 16. Me and my bestfriend are both guys. At first, I hated this girl, since she was stealing my bestfriend, but we're cool now. Whenever she gets angry at my bestfriend she goes to me and asks for comfort, and as a friend, I give that to her. The weird thing is, after every time I comfort her, she says "I love you" Then smiles. Is it weird? I think it's just because I'm her bestfriend? PLEASE HELP MEEE

Hey guys and girls its me again.
I have a question.
So my mom has a guy friend now that has 5 kids and a wife 4 girls plus the mom and he says that he wants me to talk to him when I feel down and he also said that I can call him anything that I want so does that mean that he wants to be a father figure for me and try and take care of me like one of his own kids.
