his license.. no dating?

Posted Tuesday May 1 2007, 8:09 pm

my boyfriend is will be 17 in july. and i will be 15 in june. we have been dating for a like 3 and a half months, and we are both really happy together. the only real problem is my parents. they like him and all, but they just don't really want me dating. its not even the fact that he is older, but its the fact of my just going out on a date. oviously they know him and i know his parents too, but he ust got his lisence and he wants to take me out to dinner. my parents don't want me to go in the car with him driving. there is like nothing i can do to convince them either. they automatically think he is a bad driver, just because he just got it. i just don't know what to do. i'm so irritated that i have to say "sorry, i can't my rents wo...

Acceptance

Posted Monday April 30 2007, 8:55 pm

Yesterday (Saturday) my mom and I were talking about clothes. I said to her; Do you remember when you said to me that you thought I lost weight because my beige pants looked big on me; she said; well they did look big; I then said; what about the white pants I am wearing today; and she said; they look fine; which made me say; well I feel that every time I wear a pair of pants you are or will be thinking they look big; and she said; That is in your mind, I would have told you if I thought your pants look big - again it is in your mind; AND again today I asked her about the blue pants I am wearing and she said they look fine. SO MY QUESTION: IF YOU WERE ME WOULD YOU FINALLY ACCEPT THE FACT IT WAS JUST THE BEIGE PANTS THAT DAY THAT MADE HER TH...

Travelling with Syrian Airways

Posted Monday April 30 2007, 3:50 am

This is so not the right cat., but it is somehow related ... anywhoo.

Has anyone traveled someplace by Syrian Airways before? I'm going to Syria in the summer to visit my mom's side of the fam (all alone, no parents with me) and I'm kinda nervous 'cause I've heard it's a sucky airline and all that. And my parents want me to travel with that airline, I have no choice (since they're paying for the ticket!).

Is the sucky bit true?...Please share experiences or if you know of any 'airline review' sites... let me know.

Thanks in advance.

I`m only 13 and my parents treat me like I`m 18 and they won't buy me ANYTHING! They make me pay for my clothes, my food when I go out to eat, staying at hotels for a family vacation, and basically everything. They won't even buy me a pack of gum! I'm only 13 and I can't really have a well-paying job and I already walk dogs but that can't pay for everything.. I can't even shop anymore because I don't have enough money for more then 2 shirts and as soon as I buy 2 shirts I have to save up for another 3 months until I have any money again.

It really annoys me because my friends always brag about how their mom took them to the mall and bought them 9 bags of clothes and they didn't have to pay. My parents haven't bought m...

trust, parties

Posted Thursday April 26 2007, 7:25 pm

okay so i have a real problem lying to my mom..i have no problem going behind her back and doing stuff but lying to her face is just so hard. so when she confronted me about drinking at some parties i had to just come right out and say that i did. and now, of course, she doesn't trust me, and probably won't let me go to this one girl's graduation party (i'm 15 by the way). so what can i do to make her trust me again? i already agreed to not go to any of her parties during the school year but i REALLY want to go to her graduation party. i'm trying to be good and helpful so is there anything i can do to gain her trust back you think? maybe helping around the house and staying home more weekends?

thanks for any advice!!

Mom

Posted Wednesday April 25 2007, 11:47 pm

FIRST PART: Ok I joined an online dating service and I was emailing one of the guys who wanted to know about me and what I looked like. My mom said tell him you are tall and slim. I said to her why did you say slim and not thin because I am thin. She replied because it sound sexier. I got a little upset that she said slim because she always tells me I am thin/skinny. She said slim means thin but sounds sexier. MY QUESTION: AM I OVERREACTING AND WHAT DO YOU THINK OF WHAT SHE SAID? SECOND PART: Today at work I had to call my mom. During the course of the phone conversation I asked her about slim and thin. I said to her that I was surprised she said slim because she always tells me I am thin. And she said you are - you are even skinny,...

Jamaica, Bahamas, Aruba

Posted Wednesday April 25 2007, 6:59 am

My church goes on 1 cruise a year with the parish. This year they went to Italy. Next year in the spring they are going to Jamaica, The Bahamas, Aruba, and St. Martin! My family has NEVER been on one of the cruises with the church, and we thought it might be a fun experience.

First off, how can I make my dad totally into the idea. I told him you get discounts when going with the church. Also, all of our close friends will be there. My mom doesn't do planes or cruises so she won't go and my dad probably doesn't want to be the only adult.. I was thinking maybe we could ask my neighbors if they would be interested in going.. What else could I say to get him to want to go because we don't travel a lot and we don't go anywhere far like this before?

She's addicted to shopping...

Posted Wednesday April 25 2007, 1:36 am

This might be long....but anyway: My parents moved into a house this past summer--a bigger house, that NO BODY but my mom wanted to move into. Okay, so she got her way. That's fine.
Now, a new house needs new things, according to her logic. It seems like almost every time I visit there is new STUFF just piling up; new furniture, new accessories. And it doesn't stop at the house. Ever since I was a kid, she'd buy me new clothes even when I didn't ask. Many of you would think that's gerat, and that I shouldn't complain. But really, I don't NEED the clothes, and I know it's just a manifestation of her shopping addiction. She doesn't splurge millions like a movie star, but I'm still starting to get concerned. It seems like almost every t...

Listen, you see I wanted to get on America's got talent, BUT I couldn't find anything. So I went to Google and searched for talent tryouts in my area. Well get this, my mom is p-off, because when I told her she was like, "How many times have I told you not to give away personal info on the computer." I know she's trying to make sure I don't get hurt, but, I mean COME ON!!!! A Talent thing, they even said a parent had to be around when I tryed out. It isn't fair. Acting and Singing is what I put down, and I'm basically a drama queen and I'm a great alto. My mom knows that I love these two things, so how come she ...

aspartame

Posted Monday April 23 2007, 10:56 pm

Today Sheilas mom told Sheila during dinner that Aspartame has been definitely linked to cancer. She told her this because Sheila's dad died many years ago of cancer. Her mom said to Sheila that Sheila should have her coffee without any artificial sweetener. When it came time for desert Sheila checked the sweet-n-low and told her mom that sweet-n-low did not have any aspartame. Sheila then asked her mom when Sheila was making her mocha coffee did her mom care that Sheila uses no-cal chocolate syrup and her mom said should I care and Sheila said no. Sheilas mom then added one more thing; Sheila I gave you the info it is up to you what you want to do with it. After dinner Sheila called me and told me what her mother had said. I told Shei...
