Beating off excessive praise

How can I get people to stop overselling my talents? My supervisor's been calling me a borderline genius in public and I'm really not. Someone's going to give me a herculean task that I'm not up to and it's going to be all his fault.
That and I could swear I'm getting dirty looks from my co-workers.
How can I bring his public optimism level down? Screwing up in a big way is not an option.

Does anyone read French? If so, have you happened to read a book called 'Lygaya a Quebec' (I'm too lazy to put accents on it and I forget how). I'm currently doing a book report on it. Does anyone know what the place that Lygaya and Pierre are slaves at is called? i know it's something along the lines of 'El Dzijir' but i'm not sure. Any help whatsoever is appreciated.

Hermit crabs!!!!

I wanna start a hermit crab activist group in my state, because I, and others, believe that Hermit Crabs (land)are treated inhumanely. In pet stores they're always in tanks with out lights or heat lamps or spoges or the waters too deep and theyve all drowned in the water bowl. I HATE HOW THE POOR DEARS ARE TREATED!!
But i have my ways of getting them better living quaters. By Buying them all. like ....12 at a time from my local pet store....i buy every single one !!! Otherwise i go to the dude at the counter and tell him to clean out the tank once in a while. Or offer to clean it myself. Once i burst into tears cos all the poor little hermies were shell-less and food-less and it was AWFUL!!!

A Dad's Bad Day!!!
It was late saturday night,
when you turned on the light,
you sat by my bed,
and all I felt was dread,
I knew something had happened,
but wut I did not know what,
then you started to speak,
and then I knew,
I didnt want to believe I thought you lied,
but then you showed me where she layed,
on the ground in her home,
to what her dad had done,
She was so cold with pure love in her eyes,
I should of done more,
but she said "No its alright he didnt do it" as she stared at the sky,
this wasnt the first time she had marks to bare...

hey this isnt a question but i got a 160$ dress for 35$ great deal huh its so cute it is like a dark red at the top then it goes toa dark purple then to a black and it has black beads all ova it and the back part is an open back with these beads going straight across then it hangs down kinda hard to tell ya exactly
anyways its for the skol miltary ball and im goin wit my best friend kate

Weird and Strange periods

For the past 3 months I have had a sort of half-period. Absolutely nothing that I am used to. Before that, I just didn't get one at all for 2 months. Its very strange and somewhat concerning but I'd rather not go to the doctors if I have nothing to worry about. Help?

Oral Sex

Okay, I'm a sort of goody-goody. I don't do drugs, I don't have sex, I've never had a boyfriend, etc. etc. A lot of my friends don't believe that oral sex is something bad. i understand that it's something that a lot of people do, and I also understand that it could be much worse, but I really think it's gross, and I just wanted some people's opinions on it. Is it "naughty" to have oral sex?

What to say on an interview?

I got fired from my job about three years ago. It was really a great job and it was an exempt position too. I was using drugs at that time and it affected my performance and I was missing a lot of days worked. It was kind of like an eye opener for me when I got fired and I've been drug free since then. I had three little kids so I decided that it would be best if I stayed home with the kids during the day and I took a part time job at night. It's been this way for three years. Now that my youngest kid is also in school, I think that I am ready to work full time again. My dilema is I don't know what to say when asked on a job interview why I left my last full time job. I can't say I got fired because they wouldn't hire me. What do you think would the best response be?

How do you know when you are in love? I think I might be...but then again I don't think so, because if I really loved him, I could actually talk to him and not just stare at him until he looks at me, and then (at a perfect opportunity to talk to him.) quickly look away.

my man and church

My boyfriend calls himself a Christian but doesn't go to church. I'm not a religious fanatic or anything, actually I'm pretty liberal and my church is too, but he's still really reluctant to go to church with me. He seems to really dislike organized religion. I understand where he's coming from, but he won't even give my church a chance... we're really cool. I'd love it if he'd go to church with me, I think it'd be fun, and frankly it freaks me out that he's so afraid to try new things. What do you think?

ok i really like this guy in new york were my mom lives and i live w\ my dad in michagen but if i leave my dad i would feel sooooooooooo guilty and i wouldn't be able to help him. should i live with mom or dad? i know what your gonna say your gonna say that i shouldn't have just that reason for living with her and i don't i have more but this is my main prob. so plez don't say that!
