save gas?

ok, I have always heard that the air conditioner uses more gas when turned on. Is this true? Does the heater also use more gas? I turned my heater on one morning last week (yeah, middle of summer and i need the heater... maine sucks ass) and I noticed the rpm meter move up a bit when I did, and went down a bit when i turned it back off. This was all while I was still parked in my driveway.
I was also wondering if Cruise control uses less, more, or just the same amount of gas if it's turned on or off.
Is there anything else that uses slightly more gas turned on when I'm driving?

My boyfriend ( well ex ) broke up with me and said it's because "we didnt see eachother much anymore" Which sucked but I saw it coming. That night my 'best friend' called and told me how sorry she felt for me and then told me she saw him with his new girl friend. I was really upset... then the next day i found out that his new 'girl friend' was her ( my best friend ). She doesnt know that i know. What should I do?

ok... i have a guy friend & i think bout him 24/7
we have known eachother for bout 1 month but didnt start to talk till 2 weeks ago..so i let him hit it the next day after we 1st talked. This is more of a comment then advice but yeah lol.. you left me a comment and tried to help me thanks. I think you said you were in the same situation.. is that right? If so, what's you do about it? It's like sad though because we get mad and it's physical we will hit and bite and pinch and cuss each other out. And he calls me a whore and slut and bitch when he gets mad.. it's just sad. We are both so miserable but won't give up. The 21st of this month it'll be a year and 5 months and that's so hard to end. I'm not saying it's all him, it's me to. We both say stuff to hurt each other so much when we are mad. He hurts me a lot more but girls are always more emotional. Thanks for your help. =)

I want to learn to play the violin. I own one already, two in fact. I don't have money for lessons and they aren't offered for free at school but I really want to learn. I've tried teaching myself, but in the past it hasn't worked. I've always given up without that initial drive to learn that comes with lessons. It's like I need someone forcing me to do it. My parents have never really been supportive of me learning any instrument and it's unfair that they were both given opportunities in school to play and I haven't. I want to play so badly that I cry myself to bed at night over it. But I have no way to learn.

I want to be more friendly

Hi. I'm a very shy person who just can't seem to overcome that and approach people when making new friends. It's very difficult for me to make new friends because my shyness gets in the way of everything, and I HATE that! I want to become more friendly and out-going so that it will be easy to be making new friends instead of a struggle. If you have any suggestions about how I can be more friendly and out-going then answer this question please, or give me any resources on how to overcome my shyness when making friends-anythings fine with me. Sometimes I feel as if I'm living a double life. At school, I cuss a little, wear makeup and more expensive clothes; at at church I'm all "love everybody" and pretty much a model Christian-youth prez and ultra-volunteer. Please help!
