In this year of school, I know close to nobody. It’s been over a month and I haven’t really communicated with new people at all. I don’t have any people to talk to. Since it’s such a big environment I’m in too, I don’t see people regularly. I feel like everyone already has their friends, so I’d intrude if I talked to them, or got the courage to. And people that are alone usually are off doing something else and looking busy. I know clubs usually help and I’m figuring that out as of right now, so that’s really my last hope. How can I just...make friends? (link)

Hello, dear. I want to tell you to have patience, everything has a certain time to occur and I'm sure that when you least expect it, you're going to make new friends. Do not just worry about it now, love yourself above all else and in time things will flow, group work and extra-class activity will provide us with new communications that become true friendships, you will see!
Sometimes we need to let shyness aside and do not let it get in the way of our choices, go outside, try to group with those who are alone too, because they may feel like you.
Meanwhile, try to get distracted, read a good book, walk around with your family, have hot chocolate in front of the TV, watch shows and movies you love.
Finally, I want to give you a very special message from a very prestigious Brazilian thinker: "Remember that you yourself are the best secretary of your task, the most efficient propagandist of your ideals, the clearest demonstration of your principles, the highest standard of higher education which your spirit embraces, and the living message of the high notions you convey to others. "Do not forget also that the greatest enemy of your noblest achievements, the complete or incomplete negation of sublime idealism which you preach, the discordant note of the symphony of good you intend to perform, the architect of your afflictions, and the destroyer of your opportunities for elevation-it is yourself.
