Ok I'm 16/f and I play club volleyball. I have a new coach this year and at first I though he was a little odd. After a tournament yesterday coach was sitting us all down one by one and talking to us about our play. I said I had to keep control of my positive outlook on the game and he says and I quote. "You just have to watch what you give. There are only two things in life you can give: your integrity and your virginity." Now at first I let that go cause I thought he was joking but the look on his face said otherwise. He was using all these youthisms about sex at the same time I just couldn't shake it off as something else. Now my coach is maybe 36 so I REALLY think that's just down right creepy.. so is he just putting his foot in his mouth to be hip, or is he just a creep?
Sorry about the length of the question,
Thanks (link)

i agree that that's creepy, you're right he shouldn't be mixing up sports and sex talk, it's not even his business or responsibility.the fact that he had this on his mind as the best analogy is kinda disturbing,i'd just not get too close to him or make much talk if you can. but don't let that detract from your game! but..if this really does make you uncomfortable as time progresses, even if you're the only one who feels it and noone else, then it's okay to leave the team, there are sleazy men everywhere, you're not a coward for not wanting to put up with it.
hope this was any help.
