Okay, so does anyone know name of the poem below:
"Back to back they faced each other, drew their swords and shot each other. A deaf police men heard the noise and came to see the two dead boys."
I'm not sure about the last line. And I don't really know the rest of the poem, but I know it goes on. Does any one know the name? Or at least the rest of the poem? (link)

My whole life ever since I was a child my dad would always tell this one certain poem(it must of been my dads favorite) and I believe it is the same poem you are talking about. This is how I remember my dad saying the poem:
Early in the morning
in the middle of the night
two dead boys begin to fight
A dead policeman heard the noise
and came and killed the two dead boys
I was born in 1959 so until my dad passed away in 1989 he was always saying that poem to me all the time, needless to say I have that poem memorized. I tell it to my son Shawn just like my dad always told it to me as I was growing up. Shawn will turn 13 on March 21st and every time he ask me "how can you kill boys who already dead"? I just want to say thank you so much for posting the question about "The Backwards Poem" I will have the pleasure of reading it to Shawn.
I have also told it to my older children they are now 25 and 21. I just hope that Shawn passes this wonderful but odd poem onto his children just like I did to mine. Thanks again for helping me keep the memory of my wonderful dad alive......
