So we are best friends and all but I don't want to spend everything freaking day with her and do every SINGLE thing with her. We go to school together, take 5/7 classes together, no including lunch, we work together everyday after school, we carpool everyday after school. Okay, last Christmas my parents gave me a trip for my birthday present so I invited her as one of my guests. Now my family is planning on going on other trips and she assumes she is automatically invited. I don't know how to tell her that I just want family time. My dad didn't explicitdley say she couldn't go, but he didn't say she could either, he just avoided it. How can I tell her and my dad that even though she is my best friend and I love her, I need family time and she doesn't have to be included in EVERYTHING we do. (link)
I think, you allowed your bestfriend to become very open to your family that's why she feels that she is already part of it.

Being open about your feelings with a friend is good, however on this situation, this is not the right time 'coz she might get hurt. If she go with you even without being invited, then you still have a choice to just enoy your time with your family even if she's there or get irritated the whole time. However, I understand that you don't want her become part of everything in your life. I would suggest to try to reverse it slowly. I mean, you could reduce a little of your time you usually spend with her in a manner that is not offending or very obvious, or you just avoid talking to her too much about your family. And to your dad, I think you could be more open to him and tell him your struggles, I'm sure he would understand your situation.

Hope this helps. Always commit everything to the Lord. God bless!
