I have been wanting to get gauges for my ears for a long time, but have never gotten them because I thought you had to have them done. I was recently told that if you have your ears pierced, you can do it yourself just have to work your way from a smaller gauge to a larger one. Is this true? If it is, do you know what gauge sizes are? Like what is the best size to start with? (link)

the sizes are 18ga, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 00.
i ahve 16's but i think im going to go down to 12's. but dont skip! and try not to get them very big. they start to smell. gross.
