ok i know this is really random and sounds stupid, but whenever my mom eats, she doesn't eat with her mouth closed. this really bothers me because it looks and sounds really disgusting, but none of my other family members seem to notice. how can i tell her, politely, that i think it's disgusting and she should stop (because she does it in public too!) (link)
I wouldn't even worry about it, parents are going to be embarassing. You just have to worry about yourself- the only person you have control over. So your mom eats in a gross way, you're very aware of it, thus you will be careful not to eat like that. Our parents teach us by how they act, whether it be positive or negative. Basically just chill out, if you get irritated remember that it's not really a matter of life or death... Just ignore it

I am 15 years old. I enjoy writing, whether it be essays for class, reports, or just stories. Writing is probably the thing that I do best in school. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good college for writing, a college with a well known or successful creative writing class. If anyone can help, the advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks. Notice that the top 50 list is of colleges... you should look into universities also! University of Michigan has a very well respected creative writing program :)

Okay, I'm just a bit curious. Everybody thinks cutting is so freakishly horrible and everything. Well in all honesty, I don't see the harm in it unless you're making cuts deep enough for stitches or something. Otherwise, you may have a mark or a scar - but no real damage done..? When I get extremely upset - it usually helps calm me down, in a BIG way. What is all the hype about..? (link)
It's a temporary fix, one that doesn't solve anything. There are underlying issues that need to be dealt with if you have this urge. You could think about it like being an alcoholic, drinking might make the alcoholic feel better, yet no one would say "ohh it's just alcoholism" it is not healthy and it is only a temporary escape.

ok i like this guy and it's getting close to the dance at the end of the year at my school. I want to ask him to it but i think he likes this girl i really hate. we have had a friendship for about three months but that's thru AIM. i don't even have the guts to ask him on aim!He knows i like him but i'm afraid if i ask him he'll say no and that would hurt me pretty badly. So how can i ask him to the dance and still not get hurt.

P.S. do i have to ask him or can i just ask to dance with him at the dance or what. (link)
Definitely ask him! If you don't you'll always wonder if he would've said yes. Unless he has actually said that he likes the other girl, don't even try to guess... there's no way you can know for sure what his personal feelings are. The truth is you may be hurt, there's no way to avoid it and either way it's not the end of the world... at least it won't feel that way forever.
Ask him before the dance, because if he ends up going with someone else, he's not going to want to ditch her to dance with you. Also, if you wait until the dance, you'll be all nervous and not able to enjoy it.
