I am 13/F
There is this guy that i really like a lot and i know he used to like me to, but i am not sure if he still does. I want to get to know him better, we were on a the same team for a turnement for P.E. and we were pretty good friends and he sat by me a couple times in my history class instead of his assined seat, and I want to hang out with him a lot. I don't what I should, some of my friends are telling me to ask him out, and others are saying are you crazy? He is very popular and im not, but i really don't know what I should say to him, or if i should ask him if he wants to hang out, or just forget about him. (link)
Just talk to him and get to know him better as a friend. No need to rush anything or make anything awkward.

It was my frist time going to a Dermo today and he suggested that I used Epiduo at night and Aczone in the morning. However, I just remembered some questions that I have of it. Please do not give me false information. I anyone has any experience with these two things please let me know(I'm 15 btw). I do not have severe acne like redness and stuff, just a couple of pimples spread out and a few scars so I wasn't so happy on using medications. Normally, I would cleanse my face with Neaturogena and apply baby lotion to my face because it gets dry. So since I have to apply Epiduo at night, I should cleanse with Neaturogena and then is Epiduo applied to my whole face or just to the pimple? In the morning, I usually rinse my face with cold water and put on Aveeno tinted moisturizer which I use as a foundation. So, when I have to use Aczone in the morning, should I rinse my face, apply Aczone(once again, just to the pimples or all over), and then apply my foundation?

Also, if I am still using this product during the summer, is it okay if I lay in the sun with it? I looked on the internet and it said that I should have sunscreen with an spf 15. Then I would have Aczone, foundation and sunscreen on my face? Ugh I hate this! (link)
Hello,
I have experience with these products along with many others.
I am just about to turn 19, and I'm female, and I have been struggling with acne for a little over a year now. I started with only few zits on my face then I went to the dermatologist (for dry skin and then asked about acne treatments so I could be perfectly clear). Every since that visit with the first dermatologist my acne got worse and worse (face, chest, back!)
I have tried(in order):
Retin-a + Clindamycin Phosphate - too rough, made me red and breakout more
Differin 3% + Clindamycin Phosphate- drying, not effective
Differin 1.5%- not effective
Differin 3% + Tetracycline (oral tablets)- acne seemed to mildly get better and then worse than before
Differin 3% + Minocycline (oral tablets)- acne seemed to mildly get better and then worse than before
Derm suggested accutane, but I wanted to try other methods first
Differn 3% + Erythromycin(oral tablets)- I think I was allergic to the oral meds, made me itchy and on either side of the underside of my chin I got these acne rash things... bumps upon bumps in just those two spots, they took about 3 months to go away and hurt really bad if you barely touched those spots!
So sick of everything I went back to the old fashion way and just washed my face and used some hydrogen peroxide. -helped some but not really
Epiduo- worked some but didn't do much, really drying (given I am a fair skinned redhead, very sensitive)
Now I have been using Aczone on my skin for a couple months month and it is the best thing so far. I use it twice a day (I am suppose to use epiduo at nights too but I haven't because I feel like it doesn't do crap) Aczone isn't drying... gets rid of a lot of redness in my skin. It doesn't make you anymore sensitive to the sun. It works well, effective and gentle but it hasn't cured my acne. Given, my skin is looking way way better than it did before I started aczone, but I still get pimples, I have way too many for my liking-- I just want my old skin back! Oh, I am also on birth control and I have been for almost 3 months, that is suppose to help...not sure if it actually is or not.
If my skin doesn't clear up in 3 weeks I will prob start accutane :(

As far as advice for applying- when applying medications this is what you do in the proper order:
1. wash your face
2. Pat dry, don't rub. Let your face air dry for at least 20 minutes
3. Apply the aczone or epiduo or other medication all over your face
4. Let that dry and skin in for about 15 minutes
5. Then apply sunscreen/lotion
6. No need to wait before you apply make up

make sure your lotion, sunscreen, and make up are all non-comedogenic.
And if you lay out in the sun you should always wear sunscreen regardless if you are on acne medications or not. Protect yourself from skin cancer and wrinkly, leathery skin!

If your face gets dry, you should avoid any facial cleansers that contain Salicylic acid- its very drying.

I hoped that helped! Good luck!
