I'm a freshman in highschool, and I've started hearing more and more about people drinking, smoking, doing drugs, etc. I don't know if it's just my school, or if it's normal... but it seems like if you don't drink, people are like, "OMG?! YOU DON'T DRINK?!" Is it like that elsewhere? Or is it just my school? Because I'm hearing a lot about it now. Also, why do so many people do these things to themselves? What to they get out of it? A hangover? They like that? Can't they have fun without getting drunk or high? I don't get it. Sorry so many questions, thanks in advance. (link)

no way. its not just your school. mines deifnately the same way. but i still have to say don't feel pressured there is still plenty of kids who don't do drugs and drink, unfortunately i can't speak for myself. but i do know that when i go to places..if i didn't want to drink i wouldn't have to..no one pressures me after i say i don'twant to. sure i can still have fun without getting crunk or high buttt it is fun...wow that doesn't sound very good. you shouldn't do it if you don't want to...but i'm not your mom. and i'm definately not perfect. i've done it, i don't regret it, but its not something you should do just to like fit in.

So me and this guy are planning on going to a haunted house next weeked, the thing is I get scared really really easily and i don't want to look stupid. Me and him aren't going out but I kind of dout he likes me but I like him. Also It'll be kind of cold, what should I wear to still look cute? And how can I look mature and not freak out?

i wouldn't try and look mature...boys think its cute when you are scared and "need their protection"...if your scared just hold his hand or something...wear a sweater...stay warm if you don't hes gonna think you are crazy for not wearing something sensible. hes not gonna think you are a baby because ur scared at a haunted house...he'll probably think its cute. good luck :]

I'm 15/f. I've never really had any health problems, I have never even been in an emergency room, but for some reason my heart beats real fast and strong about right before I go to bed. I breathe normally, but my heart pumps really fast and feels like its going to burst. I can feel it in my chest, but it doesnt really hurt. Is this normal or should I go to the doctors or something? I'm 14/f. i've never had any serious health problems either. i've been having pains in my heart and chest area to..sometimes it hurts sooo bad it feels like its going to explode...it could be your lungs..or heart pricks. some of my friends told me about them and i think i have them to..sudden pains in your heart and it feels like its beating a million miles a minute. i'm not a doctor so if i was you i'd get an appointment....your only problem is that unless it happens while you are at the doctor it might be hard to explain whats wrong. so the next time it happens you should write down what happens likeee what if feels like exactly and how long it lasts. but, see a doctor.
