I'd like to pick up a craft, but I don't know which one to start with. If you craft, which one did you like better?
I have a little experience with knitting (from when I was a kid), but that probably won't matter much.
I want to pick up a craft as a creative outlet, not necessarily to make practical or wearable things only.
Classes or mentoring isn't an option. I'll be starting out with learning from books only.
With those points in mind, any suggestions? Well-considered responses will be greatly appreciated. =) (link)

I'm new to both and I prefer knitting. Books are a great way to learn how to knit and I've also found websites with videos very helpful. I wanted to pass along a site I found that has basic videos that give great tips on knitting. I'm not sure if you're interested in how to knit videos, but I found these useful when I was just starting out.
