I love anything from John Green, Looking for Alaska is my all time favourite.
My boyfriend is a massive fan of fantasy books and he recommends the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit books.
If you like romance that has a supernatural twist, try the Host from Stephanie Meyer or the Beautiful Creatures series from Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.
I also love Hush Hush by Rebecca Fitzpatrick, which is another romance/supernatural/adventure sort of book.
