OK. so i wasn't sure which category to put this under but i think its right. ok, back to my question. i've been playing the flute for about 3 years and i SUCK at playing. i also hate my band teacher!he is really mean.i really hate playing too. my mom is making me play until i get out of high school. she is hoping i get a scholership for it unless i do something else for a scholership. i've tried to tell her that i hate playing but i don't know wut to do!help! anybody have any idea wut i could do in high school for a scholership besides playing the stinkin flute? and any tips on how to get better? i practice alot if that helps any. thanks everyone! bye! lol.. well i play the flute and thats what im planning on doing. but if you don't like doing it then you should confront your mom or whoever and tell them that you dont want to do it and you should pursue something else. Maybe a subject that you are good at. If you still want to play the flute you should get a private teacher and take it from there. One on One help works so well! Plus if you have a good teacher teaching you how to play you will have a greater chance of suceeding. Good luck hope I could help!

I recorded myself singing on a video recorder, which is pretty accurate, and it was really...well, different than I expected. It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't really good. But my dad and choir teacher say that I'm good. Does everyone think they don't sound too good for the first time, or is it just me? Am I not a good judge of this because it's hearing myself for the first time and all? (link)

Same thing happened to me. I hate listening to myself sing on a recording and so do alot of other people. I think its just life. I have done it more than once, listening to myself sing and all and i think that i SUCK!!! but yet every one says im good and i sung at a wedding. Dont worry about it and go with wat you want. either you think you are good or you dont. hope i helped. -Jae-be

i love you sing. Its my passion. And im good at it ,too. But My Family dosent relaly support me because i am afraid to sing infront of them, like i would if i was by myself. They have never heard my real voice before. I want to do singing as my occupation, but i dont know if i will make it because im so afraid to sing. I have a great voice, and i want to show it. i HAVE the exact same problem. Even though i have sung at weddings and at talent shows, (WHICH I WON BY THE WAY he he he ) i still am scared to sing in front of my family. But hopefully they wont make you sing into a turkey baster.
If you are really having problems with it, find a spot on a wall or something that you can focus on, like for example a door, or a picture hanging on the wall, the more that you concentrate on it the less nervous you will become. okay..well i just totally lied to my parents and i feel horrible..i seriously want to cry and this is going to ruin my night! they have done so much for me i cant beleive i did this..
first off i lied to them last weekend about something i was doing and then toda (a week later) they get suspicious and start asking me questions and they ask if im lying and i say no. i still think they are suspicious but i feel horrible!!
DONT SUGGEST.. "just tell them the truth" because seriously..im not gonna do that..i cant..but i promised myself im not gonna lie to them again..i will tell them the truth because i feel horrible. please dont call me a cunning lying bitch and blah blah and if i lied once i'll keep doing it more and more..well you dont know me if your gonna say it dont bother answering.
i just dont know what to do!

This is my situation all the time. I try hard not to lie but i do it to save my butt. coming clean always seems to help me. i'll lie at first but the only way that i can lift the lying burden off my shoulders is to tell them. I hope that this helps, every one lies once in a while so dont be hatin, u'll come through

I'm just beginning to learn how to play the violin. It's been a dream of mine since I was little so I'm really excited and practicing quite a bit. The trouble is my left wrist gets really sore really fast and I can't practice for very long at once. Is there anything I can do about this? My teacher tells me I am holding the violin right but I want to be able to practice for more then like 10 minutes before my arm gets tired. Do I just need to wait for my arm to get stronger or are there any stretches or such I can do? (link)

I don't play the violin, i play the flute but i know what you mean. My arms and wrists get soo tierd soo eaisily, so it makes it hard to practice, but take it a little bit at a time. Thats why i do. Every day play longer, even if it hurts, and u will start to get used to it. Good luck and hope this helps a little!

I really liked this guy too and i couldnt hang out with him outside of skool either. Really long and hard to explain.so all we did was talk on the phone. it mite be boring sometimes but if u talk alot your relation ship will gradualy get better. Good Luck

y friend has a new bf and they have only been togther for three days and they have already kissed and well when she hangs around him she pretty much ignores us and well when she is older and she meets a guy then i dono she is 12/f and i am 13/f when she is older i hope she makes the rite decisions with a guy cause if she goes this fast when she is this old then well think about when she is older i just need some advice the guy is 13 and is a grade older than her and he is going to break up with her and she never got broken up with before i need advice on whether if ui should warn her or what (link)

I know what you mean. I am 13 too and my best friend is the same way. You want to warn her but it might be best just to stay out of the way. If something happens just be there for her. It will hurt her if he breaks up with her but maybe she'll learn a lesson. Good Luck with your Situation!
