Why won't my mom let me get my ears pierced? I am 17 YEARS OLD AND I DON'T HAVE MY EARS PIERCED! she said it will make me look older but i AM older! and she says she got them pierced at 13 but she regrets it. WHAT????? i see earrings every where and all my friends have at least one piercing. i have been asking since i was 6 but she still says "ask me later" Help! (link)

Your in a position where you can't do much. But since you are seventeen you will be turning 18 within the year. So I would wait until then, and then let her know that you would like to get your ears pierced and are going to do it on your own. You will be old enough so it shouldn't be too big of an issue, wishing you luck!

See I am currently sixteen and I have been crushing on the same guy since I was fourteen...I never made a move for him though. We are basically the opposite. He's the outgoing, fun guy while I'm the usual "cute" wallflower girl. Lately I have been more outgoing but not as far as the wild partying type. He had a crush on this girl when I was fourteen so I passed it off as a temporary crush. When my fifteen party came, I was expecting only my close friends to come - which at the time weren't many - and was surprised when I saw "him" come too. He even danced with me and apologized for stepping on my dress but I brushed it off saying that everybody had done it. After that I couldn't stop thinking about him.
Then 10th grade came and we were in the same classroom. He was closer to me than ever. We talked more, played cards and he was always making me jump and scream when he scared me. When he did a presentation, they had to pick four students to make a dinamic game and he was the first to choose - he chose me. Then my friends kept saying I was "Laura Pausini" and one day he was with us when they showed a photo of her to compare us more. He said that I was going to be very hot in the future - since she is older than me - and I sware all I did was laugh, completely embarrassed and shocked - I didn't know what to say, no boy had ever said that to me before. Then came halloween and we all dressed up real funny and eveything and see I am camera shy. He wanted to take a photo of me but I hid and didn't let him. Then we were with a group for a competition we got into. He started teaching me how to "shuffle" in the middle of the "reunion" then he got me to get on his shoes - literally while he still had them on and started movig around so it looked like we were dancing but he was the one moving. We looked kinda robotic but all I could think about was the fact that we were so close. Then I got into a salsa dance for the christmas presentation and he got in too. He couldn't get a twirl the right way so I showed him how he was supposed to do it and he said the girl that was making the dance "See? She actually has patience for me!"
There was another time in which he dropped a study guide for a test and when i gave it to him he saud i was a great woman. Remember I never took any of tiis to heart - visibly - because he always said this in a funny, joke kind of way. When we were in the competition, seated, waiting for our turn to come, I got up real quick to talk with one from our group, not looking back when I sat down. The dang boy had silently taken my seat - on purpose - and I sat on his lap, but quickly jumped and moved to the other one, startled. He and my friend started laughing at me. Then after we got into the 11th he had barely talked to me - we are in different groups now - but today during the little party the 11th grade was having my best friend accidentally elbowed me - hard - on the face. Right on my nose and mouth. I covered my face with wide eyes, staring at my friend's equally shocked face, and next thing I knew everybody was around me, asking if I was alright. Then I saw him looking at me with concern, but never talked to me dxcept when I first came in with a bag of barbecue lays and a gift for my friend. When he saw the gift he started joking and asking where was his gift. Then "demanding" that i give him the lays. Oh and in 10th grade he supposedly had a crush on someone else :/

I'm not sure if he likes you at this point in time. But if you were around him more who knows maybe he would find that he does have feelings for you. We know that he likes you as a person and does find you attractive. I think now is the time you get in contact with him and try to spend some time with him without others around. You could say you want to catch up and grab coffee. I don't know if you have his number or maybe you are friends on facebook. Either way find a way to ask him to hang out with you, and then you can see where things go. Good luck, and just take a chance you never know what could happen.
