It wont allow you to fall pregnant. It is something like a contraceptive pill. If you are trying for a baby i would come off of it and stay off of it during pregnancy.

found out that my BFF had gotten her period over night. Oh God-I've never had a period myself so I don't know what to do. My friend is crying on her sleeping bag trying to figure out what to do. She says her sister has pads in her bathroom, but she's scared to use them, even more scared of the concept of a tampon and telling her mom. Do we tell her mom or sister? How long to periods last? Will she get it at school? What if she gets hers at school, and what will happen if I ever get mine at school (or any public place?)? Does this mean she gets to get out of gym class (some of our other friends have gotten out of gym by giving the lady gym teacher an accused note)? There's a dance in about two weeks, and she's scared that her period might come up again like while she's dancing with her boyfriend or something, or that she won't even be able to go at all. What do we do? Oh yeah, she's a twelve year old girl (one year younger than me) and I'm asking this question since she don't have an Advincinators account. Tell them both is my advice.Your period is a natural part of womanhood and is something you should be proud of.I dont mean go out and tell everyone but tell family and close friends.I can understand her emotions.I felt them too my first time.I got my first period when I was in school and I was soo embaressed but the teacher was so nice to me and understood,all that happend was i went home.Periods last anything up to 5 days usually but sometimes can be longer so dont worry.Her period wont affect her relationships.Pads are probably easiest to use as they just slip inside the knickers whilst a tampon can be uncomfortable if it isnt inserted correctly.My advice is to tell her mom and sister because they wont be angry,if anything they will be supportive.I hope you guys are ok :)

I know how you feel.A few years ago I didnt know who i was.I didnt understand that the person i felt proud of in the mirror suddenly disappeared.It was the same person but i didnt feel like myself.I felt different.I didnt understand it either.You should talk it out with friends or family or someone you trust.It passed with me,I talked out my problems with a close friend and a teacher of mine.I still dont love myself or my reflection.I felt like I was in the wrong body and it made me angry.I cant explain it.Try talk to a friend,teacher or family and see what they think.I have had a bad past too.Alot has happend that I cant change.I blamed myself for alot of it but it turned out god has a plan for us all.

When she is ready she will come to you.Dont force her into it or keep asking her for sex because she will feel she isnt giving you what you want and leave you because she feels under pressure.You are better to wait for her.

please dont end your life.I know what it feels like to get hurt.I was with a boy 5 years and he broke up with me trashing my heart.I know life seems pointless right now but you will meet another girl,a nicer one and she will treat you right.I am sure your family do need you,your their son at the end of the day.Never choose to end your own life or even make attempts because it will make you feel worse about yourself instead of better and think of all the people you leave behind and how they will feel.Please dont give up on life you are only 22 and have your whole life infront of you.

yes go to see a doctor as soon as possible.Your potassium levels will drop and you may become very dehydrated.If your bowels begin to bleed it will become more serious.It is obviously not a bug in your system.It is something else.wishing you well

When I used the bathroom today (pooped) there was large amount of blood in the toilet. The water was basically red. Completely. But it didn't hurt me to use the bathroom. I had no idea there was all that blood in the toilet until I looked down to wipe. Even though it didn't hurt me to use the bathroom, for the past few days I have been experiencing random pain in my anus. I could be sitting down, or even walking. Is this something to be concerned about? Do any of my symptoms ring a bell? (link)

i had these exact symptoms during the summer.You need to go to a doctor and get it checked because bleeding bowels can be very serious sometimes.It could be coelictus or haemrroids or sometimes piles.Although in severe cases bleeding bowels are a sign of colon cancer so you will need to get a ct scan to make sure everything is ok.Get to a doctor as soon as you can.best of luck and i hope you will be alright.
