Does any one know any skin products that actually work against acne?? and btw, is it true that eating chocolate gives you more break outs? does tanning really get rid of them?? And does thinking dirty thoughts give more zits?? or are all of these just myths?? Thank you bunces! Kisses/Mariana

I work in a pharmacy, and I know that there's a new thing called Freederm out. (It may be UK only though.) Eating excess chocolate/sweets gives you an oil imbalance, but only if you're not getting enough healthy food too, so basically it doesn't make you break out. Tanning in excess is bad too. And no to the dirty thoughts thing.

dear friends, well, will some intelligent grammar expert tell me, why in american english there is somtimes the omission of letter 'u' eg- color, neighbor etc, why are the pronounciations different, eg- schedule is pronounced as skedule instead of shedule ( are you getting me). please explain.

I'm English, and I am a language freak - good qualities for this question, I feel. Yes, the schedule thing: well, of course England deported many many people to America after Columbus "found" (or not) it in 1492. They saw it as a dumping ground for criminals, ditto Australia. Therefore it became increasingly populated with Englishmen and women.

Now, going back to Chaucer of the 1400s (this IS relevant, I promise): in those days, they spelled everything phonetically, eg wyfe instead of wife. And take for example, was. We pronounce it 'woz' but in those days it was 'wass'.

The schedule thing is a result of Englishism and a gradual change in pronounciation. Like the word pronounciation - most people say proNUNCEiation. Language is constantly evolving, and that means there are multiple ways of pronouncing things.

Though it pees me off when people say shedule instead of skedule...

Hey, I'm doing a presentation on the Vietnam War [how it started, more like], and I thought I would read a poem about it out loud. I know there are a lot, but one of my friends says that there is one in particular thats very famous. So if you all could list the name and author of any poem about the Vietnam War that you know, it would help. A few ideas about what else I could include in my presentation for visuals would help, since a board with pictures on it is not recommended. Thank you.

I don't know of any specific POEM but I know a song, if that helps - Blowing In The Wind by Bob Dylan was a protest song against Vietnam. You might also want to google Vietnam Poetry or something along those lines.

As well as the Dylan there are absolutely LOADS of protests songs from the time - we had to listen to loads while doing a test! Sorry I can't help with poems but maybe the songs will do.

My friend gave me a mood ring and i was wondering what do the diffrent colors mean? I know all it is is it changes when the temature changes but just wondering.. thanks

OK, I'm no expert but:

Blue - happy/in love
Green - average
Red - angry
Amber - anxious
Black - stressed or dead.

And they don't work... When you're stressed you produce more sweat therefore more temperature, so it will turn blue! Crazy.
