Well first, you have to consider something. How long is long? What you may consider dating a long time to you, may seem not so long to him. But that's of course just random guessing. What you really need to do is bring this up one day. See how he reacts to it. If he seems skeptical about it, maybe he isn't ready. Just be safe & consider all feelings & consiquences.

I don't see how they would? It seems to me that it would be somewhat impossible to tell, because everyone kisses differently & I honestly don't think your kissing changes over time. So no, I highly doubt they could. I hope I helped =)
