I know this may sound like a dumb question but I have dark reddish brown hair and really fair skin (like the skin of most redheads) it has pink undertones and it's freckled. Most brunettes I know even if lighter skinned aren't as light skinned as myself...? (link)

It's all thanks to your genes. Even if your parents are not fair skinned and/or have/don't have freckles, your genes go back farther, to your descendants. Embrace your beauty as you are, fair skinned and freckles. If we all looked the same, what a boring world this would be!
P.S. I also have red/brown/blonde hair, hazel eyes, freckles, and fair skin. I get complements because people ask me where I get my hair colored...I don't!
