So hey. I sometimes like to assume the roles of imaginary people, usually men older than me, and talk to people who aren't there. I do this only when I'm alone. My favorite characters have relationships and backstories and all that. I'm always aware I'm doing it and it's not involuntary or anything, though sometimes I'll see through the perspective of one of the characters or feel their emotions, or wonder how they would handle a situation or sometimes go to them for conversation or advice. Am I insane? I'm pretty sure this isn't a normal activity all the hip kids are doing (link)

Hey, I'm Goodlife. You are not nuts! You are not crazy! If people tell you you're nuts, they are not trying to be mean, they just dont understand us ~interesting~ people. Do you think of yourself as having trouble explaining things to people? When someone thinks you did something to harm someone, and you need them to understand your intention and how you meant no harm, do you find yourself toungtied? If this is so, I have found one person in the world that I can understand.
Listen, it's not about being interpreted correctly, life and all, it's not about making other people happy. Life is yours. People do good in this world because they benefit. Whether that benefit is it the form of a physical thing, or someone looks at them as a better person, one must prove gain in everything they do, or they can not be content.
Not a single soul does something nice just because. This links back to how you feel you are nuts. You only feel that, because you feel other people might interperate you that way. What you do, you do for yourself. You do this with your head because it entertains you. You and I go over the top to entertain ourselves; stimulate our wits. When you feel bored, and there is nothing to be done but wait, you do this, yes? Perhaps, when you read a book, you could look at the page for minutes just thinking about something unrelated.
You are not alone. I thought I was the only person who did this. I do the exact thing. Down to every detail you described I do it. We have the most interesting aspect in common. The one word I use will describe it. Creativity. I would love to text you. You see, no one understands me. No one. I to talk to my own kind.
