Q: I'm 15, female. I used to be an outgoing, bubbly cheerleader .. I got along great with everyone! I was confident in who I was. Lately, I'm not sure whats happened. I've limited myself to a few friends and my boyfriend. I barely trust anyone, and I always think of the negative side. No matter how hard I try to stay positive, things get to me and break me down. I'm not near as happy as I used to be, I get jealous so easily.

I want to get back to my oldself, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I've tried "just being myself" or talking to old friends but it always ends up me alone again. What should I do? I miss my perky and fun life. Help.
There can be many resons for this and i will tell you what i think probally happened.

1.When I was around your age, I changed alot kinda like you but in different ways: I was scared of people, I use to think I was sucidal (scary but true), I was a nervous wreck. And finally I got help. The reason for all this was beacuse I was growing up and there was a imbalance in my body. This happens to everyone and could be happening to you. It took me 6 months to get back to my normal self, and if this is what is happeneing to you, Do not worry at all! It is normal and will pass by itself. But rember one thing, there was a study a while back and it showed people who talked more with other people became healthier people. So the quickest way to get better, is talking to someone you trust: your family, your priest, anyone. about what is happeneing to you.

Q: my dog had to be put down a couple days ago. I can't get over it. what shall I do?
I know how you feel excatly. My dog of 15 years recently died 4 days ago and I still can not get over it. I knew a week before his death that he was going to die soon but personally I could not believe it all. To this day when I wake up, I still call his name. In a desperate attempt that maybe just maybe this was a nightmare. Being sad about your dog shows alot about you. I can tell you care deeply for your dog and that he was probally like part of your family. My family got over it already but I haven't. Every night I think about him. Remember the saying "the sun shines tommrow" I know it is very corny but it is true. It means that after every bad thing that happends to you every day, tommrow will be an new day and with every new day things get better. The one thing that helped me so much is remembering my doag and going to heaven. Do not let anyone not tell you that dogs dont go to heaven beacuse they do and they will always. Right now your dog is probally making doggy friends and running around having fun, all his pain gone. And when you get very old and eventually die, you will go to heavena and meet your dog there. So do not be sad because even though you will miss him, you will meet again. And I can promise that. Good Luck and do not worry!

Here is a poem about doggy heaven.
