What does "pop your cherry" mean? Like I know it has something to do with a hymen...what I'm not exactly sure what a hymen is!! Like does it just happen when you put something...up there? Does it hurt? Like what IS it? And is that a way someone can tell if your a virgin or not?? and i rate. (link)

So, "Popping your Cherry" Is when the hymen in a womans vagina breaks from being tampered with, usually during sexual intercourse.
There is of course many ways to break this hymen, but I think everyone ealse's answers give many examples, but masterbating with wide objects that could resemble a penis are probably going to burst the hymen if you are thusting it into you hard enough.
The pain of popping usually goes with the shape of your hymen, By this i mean the opening of the hymen. The hymen is a thin tissue layer that is near the vaginal opening, sometimes it is so thin around it that you can see it, and when your cherry pops it might not hurt alot at all. The more of the vaginal opening the hymen covors, and the thicker it is, the more it will bleed and hurt.
Personally, when my boyfriend popped my cherry, it hurt, on a scale 1-10 i would say it was a 3. I had a very thin layering around the edges. But my boyfriends penis was very big so that could have been half the pain because i was alreaqdy really tight. I didnt bleed almost at all, there was only a single drop of blood from my cherry poppin.
Some hymen have very thick layering, with alot of blood running through. That could hurt very badly to break, and it would bleed alot.
