I'm not diagnosing; just telling you what I believe you are experiencing.
Sleep Paralysis. It is a transition state between wakefulness and rest. It can occur at sleep onset or when awakening. It is believed a result of disrupted REM sleep, which is normally characterized by complete muscle weakness that prevents individuals from acting out their dreams.
Basically, your brain starts to wake up before your body does.
It is nothing to be afraid of.
This happens to me all too frequently. Sometimes when this happens, I see things in my room. It's only part of my lingering dream.
Whenever you wake but cannot move, just remind yourself that this is a natural occurrence and nothing will harm you.
Do you sleep mostly on your back? Sleep paralysis occurs more often in this position. Try sleeping on your side more often.

Never take back a cheater. He obviously does not care for nor respect you.
If you fall for two people, always choose the second one. If you really cared for the first, you wouldn't have felt anything for the second.

So hey. I sometimes like to assume the roles of imaginary people, usually men older than me, and talk to people who aren't there. I do this only when I'm alone. My favorite characters have relationships and backstories and all that. I'm always aware I'm doing it and it's not involuntary or anything, though sometimes I'll see through the perspective of one of the characters or feel their emotions, or wonder how they would handle a situation or sometimes go to them for conversation or advice. Am I insane? I'm pretty sure this isn't a normal activity all the hip kids are doing (link)

Two out of my many favorite quotes.
"People who're nuts never doubt their own sanity"
- Nancy Werlin
"As long as you doubt your sanity, you can't be insane" - Miles Keaton Andrew
I do the exact same thing. I think as long as you keep this in private and don't let it consume you, then no, you are not nuts.
Besides, a bit of "insanity" in your own privacy really helps to stay sane in the real world.
Just keep doing what you're doing, and maybe write a good book or two.
