First of all, He's just three years older than you, so if you're going to end the relationship, don't end it because of that, especially if you like him.

No on to the 'real' issue here. You say that 'he thinks' that you don't trust him. Which can only mean one thing, that you've given him a reasone to feel that way. You could've said just one little thing or you could've been joking around, but still, he could've took you seriously. For emample: "I went over to study at my science partners house last night," says your boyfriend. Now, keep in mind his science partner is a girl. Then you replay by saying, "Sure, that's what you went there for." Even if you say that sentence or another sentence like it while laughing, he'll still take you seriously.
What you should do is talk to him, ask him what have you ever done to make him feel as if he wasn't trusted by you. It may be something that you do or say everyday. Because if you're anything like me, then you're a sarcastic person, a very sarcastic one. Trust me, don't even joke around with him about something that serious.
